1. Adjust the sole length.

By purchasing the Alpine Trekker you have made a commitment to high-performance
backcountry skiing. It is designed for use in climbing and traversing only and must
ALWAYS be removed prior to downhill skiing.
Before your first tour, follow these instructions in the indicated order.
The sole length of the Trekker
must be adjusted to fit your binding. Using a flathead screwdriver,
turn the tube adjustment screw (1) clockwise to make the Trekker shorter,
and counterclockwise to make it longer.
The rear of the cage should extend only slightly past the cage seat (3) and not
beyond the end of the heel piece (4). Using a Philips head screwdriver, remove the
spreaders (5), loosening all the screws at once before removing each one individually.
Place the rear half of the cage in the proper position and reattach the spreaders.
3. Adjust the heel bail. Once the cage length is adjusted, move the wire
heel bail (6) so that it holds the boot snugly in place. There should be little or no
boot movement when the plastic heel lever (7) is snapped into position. To adjust,
rotate the wire bail so that you are able to pull the ends outward, then move the bail
tothe desired cage holes.
4. Adjust the heel lever clip. Occasionally small adjustments will need
to be made with the heel lever clip (7) if the heel bail (6) is slightly too loose or too
tight. Using a Philips head screwdriver, loosen the screw then rotate the heel lever
clip 180 degrees, reposition the heel bail inside the clip, the retighten.

excessive wear and tear. These include, but are not limited to use of the Alpine
Trekker in downhill skiing or through failure due to accident, alteration, abuse,
misuse,or improper care. Backcountry Access shall not be liable for consequential
or incidental damages, or economic loss.
