EDIT ORIAL
Rhône-Alpes, one of the « Four Motors for Europe »,
is technologically and economically a strong Region
with 6 million people. Its industries are diversified and
innovative. For the aerospace market, with over 250
industrial players accounting for 18,000 jobs and a
network of academic laboratories ranks fourth in Europe,
Rhône-Alpes has become technologies enhancer for
aeronautics and space.
Since 2005, all initiative undertaken within Aerospace
Cluster in Rhône-Alpes have been designed with
this objective to bolster performance and strengthen
innovation.
Today, we aspire to highlight the strengths of our region
and show our innovation to make know Rhône-Alpes’
ability to deliver aerospace technologies fulfilling market
needs.
Aerospace Techdays 2014 is an initiative of the member’s
companies of Aerospace Cluster in Rhône-Alpes which
intend to allow aerospace decision-makers to discover
Rhône-Alpes aerospace companies’ best innovation,
developed for a sustainable aerospace industry.
Optimization is key to reduce weight,

ADVANCED SOLUTIONS
FOR A MORE ELECTRIC
AIRCRAFT
More electric aircraft is the industry trend. It will contribute to
lower operating costs, reduce fuel consumption, emission and noise,
allowing to reduce bleed-air network and hydraulic networks.
The technologies and innovation of Rhône-Alpes aerospace
industries presented during the Aerospace Techdays 2014 aim
to support these challenges for a sustainable aerospace industry.
