After the logon the system comes back to a non secure (non-encrypted) environment and works with the normal http protocol. SSL - steps - prod.doc Page 3 of 9 Steps When you attempt to go to the secure URL (http://portal.b-rail.be), you should see a screen with a security alert like this. You can install the certificate on your system by clicking the button ‘View Certificate’. You can also accept to continue without registering this certificate but each time that you will call this URL you will have the security alert. To avoid this ‘Security alert’, here are the instructions to install the following certificate on Internet Explorer: - Click on the View Certificate button. SSL - steps - prod.doc Page 4 of 9 The next screen should look something like this: - Click on ‘Install Certificate’ to store this certificate on your system The following window should appear : - Click on the "Next" button: SSL - steps - prod.doc Page 5 of 9 Here’s what the next window should look like: - Click on the "Next" button The next window should look like this: SSL - steps - prod.doc Page 6 of 9 - Click on the "Finish" button Accept to Add the following certificate by clicking ‘Yes’, The final screen you should encounter should look like this: A message is displayed to confirm that the certificate is registered on your system. Click on the "OK" button, After installing or accepting the certificate, the logon screen appears. Note that the protocol is http and not https. The protocol https is only used when you click on the ‘logon’ button to encrypt the information (username, password) you have encoded. SSL - steps - prod.doc Page 7 of 9 When the logon is performed on the server after encoding your username and your password, you will have a ‘Security Information’ that explains that you have come back to an http protocol (non secure).
