Onze praktijk is opgericht in 1990 en is gevestigd in Brussel, waar zich ook
ons laboratorium bevindt. Elke week zijn wij ook persoonlijk werkzaam in
Antwerpen, Gent, Charleroi en Luik.
Afgaand op de cijfers van het RIZIV wordt 50% van alle protheses in België
door onze praktijk gerealiseerd. Niettegenstaande dit succes volgen wij
elk jaar een voortgezette opleiding tijdens het congres van de American
Society of Ocularists en met trots kunnen we vermelden dat wij een van
enige twee Europeanen zijn met een diploma van Board Certified Ocularist,
wat in dit domein de hoogste graad is in de Verenigde Staten.
Wij vervaardigen protheses op maat voor alle types oogaandoeningen:
enucleatie, evisceratie, aangeboren anoftalmie of microftalmie, onesthetisch oog, niet-functioneel oog (sclerale lens).

Créés en 1990, notre cabinet principal ainsi que le laboratoire, sont situés
à Bruxelles. Et, chaque semaine, nous nous déplaçons personnellement
aussi, à Anvers, Gent, Charleroi et Liège.
D’après les chiffres fournis pas l’INAMI, notre cabinet réalise 50% des
prothèses en Belgique et malgré ce succès, nous poursuivons notre
formation chaque année lors de congrès à l’American Society of Ocularist,
dont nous sommes fiers d’être les deux seuls Européens à être diplômés
Board Certified Ocularist, ce qui représente le plus haut niveau de formation aux Etats Unis.
Nous réalisons des prothèses sur mesure pour tout type de cas :
énucléation, éviscération, anophtalmie ou microphtalmie congénitale,
œil inesthétique et non fonctionnel (lentille sclérale)

The 2016 International Orthoptic Congress will be held from 27 – 30
June in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Rotterdam, World Port City is a

CARE FOR AFRICA
A fourth eye clinic in the DR of the Congo
LIGHT FOR THE WORLD Belgium has been committed to saving eyesight in Africa for more
than 17 years and built up a high level of expertise in this period. All hospitals supported by
LIGHT FOR THE WORLD deliver quality eye care whilst implementing a holistic and sustainable
model. The main objective is breaking the barriers which deny patients – particularly the
poorest among them – access to quality eye care. The most important of these barriers is
poverty, which also happens to be the leading cause of blindness in Africa.
The construction of a new eye unit in Kolwezi started in April
2015. Kolwezi is a fast growing mining city with approximately
1 million inhabitants who have no access to specialized eye
care whatsoever. An estimated 12,000 of Kolwezi’s inhabitants are blind, of which more than 1,000 are children. Needless to say, the needs are dire.
