WHEREAS, Fire Department requested the Finance Deparment Procurement Division to
solicit bids for HV AC replacement at Fire Stations 2,5,6 and 7; and
WHEREAS, the Procurement Division solicited bids by advertisement and mailing
Invitation to Bid V12-070 to seven (7) potential bidders with two (2) bids received; and
WHEREAS, the low dollar compliant bid was received from AC Contractors, 1495 Keo
Way, Des Moines, IA 50314, Paul Chatham, President, at a total cost of$145,160.00; and
WHEREAS, fuding is available from FIR990000/FIR016; Capital Projects/Fire Station
Remodeling;" and
WHEREAS, the Procurement Administrator and the Fire Department recommends
approval of the low dollar compliant bid;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Des Moines City Council hereby
accepts and approves the low dollar compliant bid for HV AC replacement at Fire Stations 2, 5, 6
and 7 from AC Contractors at a total cost of$145,160.00.
