La marque de Glashütte célèbre en 2015 les 200
ans de la naissance de son fondateur, Ferdinand
A. Lange. La première répétition minutes de la
manufacture date de 2013. Celle-ci est différente
de toutes les autres: il s'agit d'une répétition
minutes décimale. La sonnerie, à la demande,
n'indique par les quarts (15 minutes), mais les
dizaines. Elle correspond donc exactement à ce qui
est inscrit sur les disques sautants de l'affichage
numérique. Cette pièce en platine de 44.2mm de
diamètre est également équipée d'un dispositif
"tout ou rien" (la sonnerie retentit jusqu'au bout
ou pas du tout).
Cette pièce anniversaire, du nom du fondateur
de la marque, célèbre les 150 ans de Zenith.
Le calibre à haute fréquence El Primero
4810 à remontage manuel met en scène un
impressionnant système de transmission fuséechaîne. Visible à travers une large ouverture
dans le cadran, dans sa partie supérieure,
une chaîne, pelotonnée autour de sa fusée à
1h30, vient progressivement s'enrouler autour
du barillet durant les 50 heures de réserve de
marche que ce dernier offre. Ce dispositif sert
à assurer une force constante à l'échappement.
Ce mouvement est certifié COSC. Édition limitée
à 150 exemplaires.
La nouvelle Prometheus tient toutes ses
promesses: le mouvement conçu en avional –
un aluminium hautes performances utilisé en
aéronautique – est équipé de pas moins de six
barillets montés en série et entraînés par une
chaine, pour une réserve de marche complètement
folle de 1'000 heures. Rectangulaire, ce calibre a
la particularité de présenter un train de rouage
et un affichage verticaux. Le boîtier imposant de
55 x 50mm, quant à lui, est usiné dans un seul
bloc de titane grade 5. Les éléments du moteur
se déclinent en quinze coloris différents pour une
customisation optimale.
In 2015, the Glashütte-based brand celebrated the
200th birthday of its founder, Ferdinand A. Lange.
The brand’s first minute repeater dates back to
2013 but this one is nothing like the others: it’s
a decimal repeater. The on-demand alarm rings
every ten minutes instead of every quarter (15
minutes). It matches exactly what is engraved
on the digital jumping numerals mechanism. The
44.2mm platinum watch is also fitted with an "all
or nothing" function (the alarm rings all the way
through or not at all).
The anniversary piece named after the brand’s
founder celebrates Zenith’s 150 th anniversary.
The high frequency manual wind El Primero 4810
calibre showcases an impressive fusée-chaîne
system. Gaze through the window at the top of the
dial and you’ll see a chain wrapped around a pulley
at 1.30 which gradually unravels around a barrel
over the course of the 50-hour power reserve. This
system ensures the escapement is supplied with
constant energy. The movement is COSC-certified
and 150 of the limited edition watch are available.
The new Prometheus has kept all its promises:
the movement made of avional (high strength
aluminium used in aeronautics) features no fewer
than six barrels in a row pulled by a chain to fuel
a crazy 1000-hour power reserve. What’s unique
about the rectangular calibre is that it has a vertical
cogwheel and display. The oversize 55x50mm
case is manufactured from a single block of grade
5 titanium. The movement parts come in fifteen
different colours for complete customisation.

Son visage sablé argenté accueille un compte
à rebours ouvert en éventail de 10h à 2h qui
permet de se préparer à la course 10 minutes
avant le départ, le tout cadencé par le calibre
automatique ML162. Des index en applique
luminescents et une minuterie blanche, installés
sur un anneau soleillé noir entourés d'une échelle
pour mesurer les nœuds, sont survolés par deux
aiguilles rhodiées. La lunette interne est rotative et
s’actionne grâce au poussoir situé à 2h sur le flanc
du boîtier en carbone forgé de 45mm de diamètre,
bouton qui sert également à lancer et stopper la
fonction régate.
Véritable montre-bolide, la Wraith Drive force le
passage avec son boîtier en acier de 47mm de
diamètre, puissant et racé comme une voiture de
course. Aux commandes, le calibre automatique
ETA Valjoux 77, doté d'une réserve de 48 heures
de marche, cadence les fonctions horaires,
calendaire et chronographe. Sur le cadran
argenté, les indications, par leur disposition,
donnent une sensation de vitesse, notamment
grâce à la trotteuse centrale vernie de rouge et à
la petite seconde en forme de jante en mouvement
(à 9h). Les heures et minutes du chronographe
s'affichent à 6 et 12h et la date à 3h.
Coiffé d’une lunette rotative en céramique
noire, le boîtier en titane de 44mm de diamètre
héberge le calibre automatique Co-Axial 3330
certifié chronomètre par le COSC (52 heures de
réserve de marche). Le cadran en titane sablé
affiche en rouge les indications du chronographe
(trotteuse centrale, aiguilles du totaliseur des
heures à 6h et des minutes avec fonction régate
à 3h, minuterie sur le réhaut) afin de rendre
la prise d’information plus facile. Quant aux
aiguilles des heures et minutes et la trotteuse de
la petite seconde, elles ont été laquées de blanc.
Le quantième apparaît à 6h.
The silver sandblasted dial has a fan-shaped timer
from 10 to 2 enabling wearers to count down 10
minutes before the race starts. The watch is fuelled
by the self-winding ML162 calibre. Two rhodiumplated hands glide above the luminescent applied
indices and white minute track on a black sunburst
ring surrounded by a scale to measure knots. The
pusher at 2 o’ clock on the 45mm forged carbon
case side activates the internal rotating bezel and
turns the regatta function on and off.
The Wraith Drive is a real racing watch taking the
lead with its 47mm steel case which is as powerful
and racy as a rally car. The self-winding ETA
Valjoux 77 calibre is in the driving seat powering
a 48-hour power reserve and the time, date and
chronograph functions. The way the information is
laid out on the dial gives the impression of speed
with the red central seconds hand and small
seconds counter like a spinning wheel rim (at 9).
The chronograph hours and minutes appear at 6
and 12 whilst the date lies at 3 o’ clock.
The 44mm titanium case is topped by a black
ceramic rotating bezel and houses the selfwinding COSC-certified Co-Axial 3330 calibre (52hour power reserve). The chronograph functions
(central seconds, hour and minute counter hands
at 6 with regatta function at 3, minute track on
chapter ring) glow red to make it easier to read
the information. The hour, minute and small
seconds hands are all lacquered white and the
date appears at 6 o’ clock.
