Seems there is still confusion in the 21st Century about the name Labrecque. There have been many variations
of the name Labrecque. LaBrecque or any other variation should be Labrecque. Guillaume Labrecque born
1580, died 1650 was the first known Labrecque. His son Pierre Labrecque immigrated to Quebec, Canada in
abt. 1663 with his wife Jeanne Chotard, born 1636, died in 1711. They had four
children and both died in Ile-d`Orléans, Québec, Canada.

Gilles Laurent married to Anne Labrecque - Anne Labrecque was previously married to Jacques Julien on
August 12, 1885, and they had one daughter, Francoise Julien. Anne LaBrecque dit Labrecque is our 6th
great grand aunt, Garand Family Ancestry.
Anne Labrecque’s parents were Pierre Labrecque, born about 1626 St. Jacques, France, son of Jacques
Labrecque and Jeanne Baron who died February 22, 1698/99 St. Laurent, Ile D'Orleans, PQ, Canada; married
January 2, 1662/63 to Jeanne Chotard, born about 1636 St. Pierre Territory of LaRochelle, PQ, Canada,
daughter of Jacques Chotard and Suzanne Gabarot; died February 11, 1710/11 St. Laurent, Ile D'Orleans, PQ,
Canada.
Pierre Labrecque was also married Gabrielle Barré, born 1638 in
France, died in 1688 in Quebec, Canada, she arrived in Quebec
around 1658, died at age 50. They had one child, Francois Labrecque

who died on 28 December 1736 in St-Laurent, lle-d’Orleans, Quebec, Canada.
