"The incoming Class of 2019 is the most diverse geographical class we have ever had with players from Maryland, Colorado and Canada," Wallis said. "They all bring a solid background of high level club experience and strong academics, which are the required elements to be successful here on the Hilltop. They are coming into a very deep returning group that only lost 3 starters from the 2014 campaign. It is always difficult to project where a player will fit in position-wise so pre-season will be great for us to see how the 2019 class fits in." Elise Bouchard (left), a goalkeeper from Huntingtown, Md., arrives on the Hilltop with a multitude of high school accolades in her four-year tenure at Calverton School about 40 miles southeast of Washington, D.C. As captain of the Cougars squad, she was named MVP of the Maryland Independent School Athletic League and won a conference championship three times. Bouchard made an All-MISAL Team all four years and was an All-County Honorable Mention twice. Statistically, she tallied 116 saves in her senior season and led Calverton to a 11-2-2 record and a MISAL Runner-Up finish. She qualified for the Maryland State Cup club tournament in 2013 with her Maryland United squad, also earning a USYS Region One Championship Wildcard berth that same season. Academically, she is a National Honor Society student with High Honors and has worked as a U.S. Senate Page while volunteering for the Special Olympics among other school and community activities. http://www.saintanselmhawks.com/sports/wsoc/2014-15/releases/20150511zadg7h 2015/06/19 Women's Soccer Announces Incoming Class of 2019 - Saint Anselm Page 2 sur 4 Lauren Case (right), a defender from Colorado Springs, Colo., participated in the Olympic Development Program just minutes from her hometown and was a member of the organization's championship team that represented Colorado. A two-year member of the Cheyenne Mountain High School Colorado State Champion squads, she also played club soccer for the Pride Predators and Pride Rebels squads. Her Predators team was a Region IV Championship finalist in 2012 and won the Colorado State Cup in 2011. Academically, Case is a three-time National Society of High School Scholars recipient and is very active in church mission trips, the American Red Cross and other volunteer work in her community. Corinne Galarneau (left), a midfielder from Boisbriand, Quebec, will be the first French Canadian recruit for Wallis at the Hilltop. Galarneau spent four years at Sainte-Thérèse High School on Montréal's northwest side before enduring a post-graduate year at New Hampton School in central New Hampshire. In La Belle Provence, she was a standout player for her club squad, FC Boisbriand and performed in the AAA Elite Quebec Soccer League. There, she earned the Goldenshoe award on her U15 team and was a vital role in her team's run to the Quebec Cup Final in 2014. At NHS, she was named to the Lakes Region All-Star Team. She comes to Saint Anselm intending to major in International Business Management. Corey Murray (right), a striker from Scituate, Mass., will enter the Hilltop after playing club soccer for the Boston Breakers Academy that spent the 2015 spring season ranked No. 3 in the state of Massachusetts. A four-year varsity starter and twice was team captain at Scituate High School, she was named a three-time Patriot League All -Star and a two-time All-Scholastic honoree. Murray was also her high school girls' hockey team captain her senior season. Academically, she is a member of the National Honor Society, will graduate among the top 20 in her senior class and is very active volunteering for the Special Olympics youth track and field. She will arrive on the Hilltop in the Honors Program as a Nursing major. Taylor Patterson (left), a midfielder from Pelham, N.H., was a four-year varsity letterwinner at Lowell Catholic High School and captain of the Crusaders as a junior and senior. She was named Lowell Sun First Team All-Star all four years at LCHS, as well as a four-time Eastern Massachusetts Catholic Central League All-Star and three-time EMCCL MVP. At the club level, she is a member of the Seacoast United Elite squad based out of Portsmouth, N.H. Academically, she was a Ryken Scholar, a member of the National Honor Society as well as the National Math and Spanish Honor Societies while maintaining a 3.6 GPA at Lowell Catholic. Alicia Wohlgemuth (right), a midfielder from Halifax, Mass., transitioned from goalkeeper to field player throughout her high school and club development. A four-year letterwinner at Silver Lake Regional High School and team captain as a junior and senior, she broke a school record as a freshman by scoring four goals in the first eight minutes of a game. http://www.saintanselmhawks.com/sports/wsoc/2014-15/releases/20150511zadg7h 2015/06/19 Women's Soccer Announces Incoming Class of 2019 - Saint Anselm Page 3 sur 4 She also was a member of the Crusaders United Soccer Club based out of Plymouth, Mass. In the classroom and in the community, Wohlgemuth is a two-year member of the National Honor Society as well as the Key Club, doing several service projects for both. "Elise brings ECNL experience between the pipes and has many accolades in her HS career," Wallis said. "She and returning goalkeeper Cassie Quattropani (East Hartford, Conn.) will be pushing each other hard which is always a good thing. Lauren is a natural left side player that has a good attacking presence and can play multiple positions. Corinne is a versatile player that can play wide or centrally and has good pace. Corey is what I would call and old school No. 9. She is a tough and physical forward and plays very well with her back to goal. Taylor is a skilled midfielder who is very good on the ball and has a great work rate. She will compliment what is a very good returning midfield group. Alicia is a hard-nosed central player that comes in under the radar due to an ACL injury in her junior year. She is healthy and will contribute in the midfield along with Taylor." "The fall is going to be exciting as we have a dedicated returning core of very good players and an incoming class with great promise." The six incoming freshmen will replace six graduating seniors, including goalkeeper Gabriella Primera (Kennett Square, Pa.), backs Abby Rumph (Fair Haven, N.J.) and Meagan Simon (Stratford, Conn.) and midfielders Alexa Lucci (Hope, R.I.), Meredith Martin (Victor, N.Y.) and Jenna Szostak (Carver, Mass.). Saint Anselm finished the 2014 campaign with a 7-6-3 overall record and 5-6-3 mark in the Northeast-10 Conference, narrowly missing the NE-10 Championship tournament last November. It was the first time since the 2006 and 2007 seasons the Hawks posted back-toback winning seasons.
