En face du Lion de Waterloo, ce musée présente tous les principaux
acteurs de la bataille, réalisés en 1949 par les artistes du Musée Grévin de Paris.
L’Empereur Napoléon 1er, le duc de Wellington, le Feldmaréchal Blücher, le prince d’Orange, Cambronne, … étonnants de vie et de réalisme dans leurs somptueux uniformes sont campés dans une série
de scènes fidèlement reconstituées.
De nombreux témoins et documents authentiques ainsi que des objets
de fouille également exposés permettent de comprendre les lendemains de la bataille. Visite commentée par cassette audio en 7 langues au choix : F, Nl, GB, D, I, E, Grec.

Tegenover de Leeuw van Waterloo, vind je het Wassenbeeldmuseum.
Alle belangrijke figuren uit de veldslag werden in 1949 natuurgetrouw
in was uitgebeeld door kunstenaars van het Parijse Grévinmuseum.
De keizer, de hertog van Wellington, veldmaarschalk Blücher, de Prins
van Oranje, Cambronne, … lijken net echt in hun prachtige uniformen,
tegen getrouw weergegeven decors van gevechtsscènes.

The waxworks Museum, located against the Lion Mound, features in
wax all the principal protagonists of the battle in wax.
The models, created in 1949, include Napoleon, Wellington, Blücher,
the Prince of Orange and Marshals Ney, Bertrand, Drouot and Soult.
All are extremly lifelike in their colourful uniforms and are displayed
against faithfully reconstructed backgrounds.
Many original objects and documents are also shown, as well as the
results of excavations of the battlefield. Visit with audio cassette with a
choice of 7 languages : En, Nl, Fr, D, It, Sp, Greek.

When you leave the hotel “Le Château du Lac”, turn right and follow the “Avenue
des Mérisiers” during 290m then turn right. You are in the “Avenue des Neugis”.
After 86m, turn right again and continue straight on during 600m. You will see a
tunnel on your left, take it then turn right in the “Rue du Cerf”. You will continue on
the “Avenue René Soyer”. At the lights turn right in the “Rue Pierre Broodcoorens”.
At the next lights turn left in the “Avenu Reine Astrid” named also the N253. Continue straight on until you go on the motorway (ring) until you reach the road sign
“Braine-l’Alleud-Charleroi-Nivelles”. Pass via the N5 and continue on The N27
(Chaussée de Nivelles). Then you will turn left and find the museum in
the “Route du Lion”.
