UN AMBASSADEUR DE
Présenté en avant-première au dernier Nautic sous la
forme d'un prototype, ce timonier de 7 mètres a depuis
évolué pour donner naissance à un bateau à moteur
encore plus moderne et plus confortable lui donnant un
esprit très croisière. Nous L'avons testé en version horsbord avec le tout nouveau 150 ch Mercury ...
Tout premier timonier de la séri e signée
Brunswick, le 705 Cruiser conserve to us les
co de s esthétiques et l'esprit moderne des
modè les Activ : lignes fluides, coque
blanche et noire co mplétée par un li se ret
bleu électrique. D'entrée, le Quicksilver
ve ut affirmer sa différence avec ses concurrents tricolores. Sur un pla n tech niq ue, ce
timonier reprend la coque de l'Activ 675,
l'un des mod èles phares de cette série à
succès, dont il adopte le comportemen t
marin. Proposé également en version sterndri ve (Mereui se r 3,0 l ou 4,3 l), notre 705
Cruiser étai t à l'occasion de l'essai motorisé
avec le tout dernier hors-bord Mercury 150
chevaux 4 temps. Un ensemble compact et

Profitant d' une courte éclaircie à quelques
encablures du port de La Ciotat (13), nous
voilà aux commandes du 705 Cruiser avec
trois perso nn es à bord et un réservoir plein
à moitié. Déjaugeant en queLques secondes,
te bateau se montre d'entrée très véloce et
maniable sig nant rapidement un 27,5
nœuds en pointe avec un bon réglage du
tTim et un poids pLutôt réparti sur l'arrière.
Pour les amateurs de chrono, un e puissance
sup érieure vous perm ettra de dépasser les
30 nœud s en pointe mais est-ce bien utile
? A moins de choisir ce bateau pour des
so rties ski nautique .. . En tout cas, sur un
plan légèrement fo rmé, on reti endra un bon
compo rtement par mer de face et une petite hésitation par mer latérale. En effet, le
bateau aura it ten dan ce à se mettre un peu
sur la « tranche» et à offrir un rouli s, qui
peut être désagréable pour le pilote comme
les passagers. De même, on conseillera de
bien fermer la porte de la timonerie pour
s'épargner les bruits ambiants parasites,
inévitab les da ns une mer formée. A l'inverse, le 705 Cruiser se montre t rès accueillant au ni veau du poste de pilotage
avec notamment une excellente hauteur
Pour l'intérieur du 705 Cruiser, Brunswick a
semble-t-il mis les bouchées doubles pour
donner aux plaisanciers un véritable espace
de croisière et de co nvivia lité . Pour cela, le
constructeur a multiplié les astuces de rangement que ce soit dans le carré ou à
l'avant dans la ca bine sé parée. Ainsi, à tribord, sous La banquette se loge une véritable table d'appoint, de même que des
coffres de ran gement au centre. A babord,
une kitchenette prévoit évie r, réchaud,
prise 12 v et diffé rents rang emen ts. Retour
à tribord avec deux banq uettes qui se
transforment en un espace de couchage.
Ve rs la proue du 705 Cruiser, la couchette
double recouvre plusieurs coffres qui permettent d'a briter par exemple des gilets ou
autres matérieLs. Dans un espace séparé, le
bloc wc est proposé en version « chimiques ».
D'une manière générale, nous avons apprécié la décoration de l'ensem ble (avec la
touche mode rne bLeu 1 bois brut clai r) et ce
carré bercé de lumière par les baies vitrées.
De même, on notera la présence d'un hublot
dans la cabine et d'un toit ouvrant dan s le
carré, à la fois utiles po ur évacue r l'humidité et agréables à la beLLe saison.
Comme toujou rs à bord des nouveaux Activ,
Le cockpit est profond et joue La carte de La
sécurité. De même, vo us y trouverez de
nombreuses mains couran tes pour circuler à
bord de L'esquif. SeuLs regrets: des passavants étroits et un bain de soleil avant réduit en surface. Pou rquo i ne pas avoir prévu
de le place r directement sur la timonerie,
comme c'est le cas par exemple chez Pacific
Craft ?
Question options, Brunswick offre trois
offres claires, ce qui permet de faire la différence face à la co ncurrence. Le pack
« Cruising » présente notam ment une douchette, un guindeau électrique et une tab le
de cock pit. le pack « Cruising De Luxe »
ajoute le wc et le frigo 12 v. Enfin, un pa ck
Electro nic prévoit un GPS et un ensemble
stéréo. De bonne augure pour un bateau
familial et polyvalent ca pable de s'o uvrir à
la croisiè re.
NOTRE AVIS
Belle entrée en matière sur ce créneau des
timoniers avec un confort sans faille et
une réelle intelligence du chantier pour
aménager L'espace intérieur. En prime, le
705 Cruiser soigne son image et affiche un

LOTS OF STORAGE AND A LIGHT SQUARE
