Bordeaux est classée au « Patrimoine mondial de l’Unesco » avec ses quartiers typiques, la diversité de son patrimoine, sa richesse architecturale, ses places et allées… Départ pour le bassin d’Arcachon, à 60 km de Bordeaux en fin de matinée, où nous déjeunerons dans un restaurant des environs. Après-­‐midi : Escapade à la découverte des mosaïques de la dune du Pyla (ou Pilat) ; vous découvrirez de la plus haute dune d’Europe qui culmine à 107 m., un panorama exceptionnel qu’elle offre à son sommet sur le banc d’Arguin et la forêt des landes. Cette Grande Dune est constituée de sable fin dont les grains de silice ont quasiment tous la même taille. Retour à l’hôtel en fin de journée. « Let’s discover Bordeaux and the Bassin d’Arcachon » In the morning: After having breakfast at the Alton Hotel, we suggest to go and visit Bordeaux. Bordeaux is listed “UNESCO World Heritage Site”. During the visit, you shall discover its urban and architectural expression. Departure in the late morning for the “Bassin d’Arcachon” situated at 60 Km from Bordeaux, where we shall have lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon: We shall visit the highest dune in Europe, the Great Dune of Pyla (or Pilat). This dune reaches a height of 107m. At this summit, the view is spectacular with the ocean coast, the “banc d’Arguin” and the large pine forest. This Great Dune is constituted of fine sand which the siliceous grains have about the same size.
