Vodafone's campaign showed couples flirting by sending text messages. The ASA and the Independent Television Commission ruled against the adverts having between then received more than a 100 complaints. Row over teacher advert (audio 2) A row over a new advertising campaign designed to attract more teachers is reported in the Guardian. The Television advert showed people walking around with no heads and urged viewers to use their heads and give up humdrumjobs for a more challenging profession. Unions are unimpressed. The National Union of Teachers says the adverts trivialize the profession. ©Maison des Langues, Université de Poitiers, 1997-2006
