TRANSPORT
There are various ways to travel to Brussels, please find some information below.
Getting to Brussels:
By train, Brussels has 3 stations (Nord-Noord, Central-Centraal and Midi-Zuid) which provide
international connections to most neighbouring countries. For further information on train services,
please visit the website of the Belgian Train Company – SNCB.
By air, the two main airports are Brussels International Airport and Brussels south Charleroi Airport.
From Brussels International Airport (12 km from city centre) the easiest to reach Brussels City
centre is to take the train. There is a direct train from the airport to Brussels North station. A ticket
costs €5.20 and the journey takes between 10-15mins. For more information, check the Brussels
International Airport website.
From Brussels South Charleroi Airport to Thon Hotel
1) Bus shuttle - Every 30 minutes a shuttle coach leaves the airport to take you to the main
Brussels railway station (Brussels Midi/Zuid). The fare is €13 for one way and €22 return. It
takes one hour.
2) Train – You first have to take a shuttle from the airport to Charlerois Sud train station (20 mins)
and then there is direct train to Brussels North station (55 mins). The fare is €11.70 for one way
and €23.40 for a return ticket.
For more information, check the Brussels South Charleroi Airport.
