Course Description
The aim of the course is to introduce the student to the art of drama from the page to the stage to the
aesthetic and then the intellectual experience. Five plays will be seen, with preparatory lectures
beforehand and extensive analyses in class afterwards. Two essays will be assigned, one in October
and one in November.
