Come hear an explanation the causes of the French
Revolution (social, economic,
political) and hear some musical excerpts from the
contemporary opera
"La Révolution française."
We'll sample some simple French folk dances to do
for fun. No dance experience or expertise necessary.

The presentation will be using some of the great art
works at the Louvre to illustrate the theme "Young
Lovers." The session will be in French and suitable
for very beginners on up. Vocabulary and background
will be represented in order to be able to discuss the
works in French. We will discuss theme, era, and
composition, and students will love it!

you throw metal balls and try to get as close to the
marker ball as possible. Better yet, with some practice
you get to whack around the other guy's boules. Come
learn the basics and play a little with us.

communication phenomena that occur in the radio chat
rooms on BeurFM.net. We will explore how a fusion of
French, Arabic, and English take language to the next
level using creative expression to signify meaning.
Ultimately, we are taking a look at how youth and
minority cultures in France create unique language and
expression online.
Learn how to text in French & how French texting
language has its roots in old French.

Please come prepared to share your best ideas. If
you have anything you want to share visually, please
bring it on a flash drive. Officers should leave this
session feeling energized and inspired.

and pie fillings to sample. Come and transport
yourself to France with a crêpe! Allergy alert - dairy,
eggs and white flour are used in the crêpes and
Nutella is made from hazelnuts and chocolate.

During this session, we will look at various

Students will have the opportunity to sing several
traditional French songs including a Christmas carol.
Older students will help with pronunciation, melodies,
and encouragement. Participants will leave with a cd
and booklet of the songs taught. This is a great way
to improve pronunciation and build vocabulary, as
well as enjoy the language.
