DESCRIPTION: He was a 39-year-old male from Pailles.

Mauritius.

NARRATIVE: Vikash Dhauroo was with a party of fishermen
when he caught a shark which was brought on board the boat.
The shark bit him on the arm.
INJURY: Fatal. He died of shock due to blood loss several hours
after he was bitten by the shark and while the fishing boat was still
at sea. The fishing boat arrived during the afternoon of Friday
November 21, 2014, at the harbor at Port Louis, Mauritius, and
the body was transported to the morgue for post mortem
examination.

La police du Port a ouvert une enquête suite au décès d’un pêcheur en haute mer.
Police opened an investigation following the death of a fisherman at sea.
St-Brandon: un pêcheur décède après avoir été attaqué par un requin
Une partie de pêche au gros a viré au drame hier, jeudi 20 novembre, à St-Brandon. Rameshwar
Ram Dhauro, un habitant de Pailles âgé de 39 ans, a été attaqué par un requin qu'il a pêché. Il
n’a pas survécu à ses blessures.
Selon nos recoupements d'informations, Rameshwar Ram Dhauro a ramené le requin sur le
bateau après l'avoir attrapé. C'est alors que le pêcheur a été mordu au bras. Ce dernier a saigné
à mort.
Le bateau sur lequel il était parti pêcher est arrivé à la rade de Port-Louis ce vendredi après-midi.
Le corps du trentenaire sera transporté à la morgue à des fins d’autopsie.
La police du Port a ouvert une enquête.
Un des pêcheurs a averti la famille de la victime jeudi 20 novembre.

Part of fishing turned to tragedy yesterday, Thursday, November 20, St. Brandon. Rameshwar
Ram Dhauro, a resident of straws aged 39, was attacked by a shark he caught. He did not
survive his injuries.
According to our information, Rameshwar Ram Dhauro brought the shark on the boat after
catching. It was then that the fisherman was bitten on the arm. He bled to death.
The boat on which he was out fishing arrived in the harbor of Port Louis on Friday afternoon. The
body will be transported to the morgue for post mortem examination.
Port police opened an investigation.

Une partie de pêche a viré au drame pour un habitant de Pailles au large de l’île Saint-Brandon.
Vikash Dhauroo, un pêcheur de 40 ans, faisait partie d’une campagne de pêche près de l’île
Saint-Brandon en compagnie d’autres pêcheurs.
Vikash Dhauroo a capturé un requin qu’il a pu ramener à bord du bateau. Le requin a réagi et l’a
mordu au bras. La victime s’est évanouie en perdant beaucoup de sang, et a rendu l’âme
quelques heures plus tard.
Un des pêcheurs a averti la famille de la victime jeudi 20 novembre.
St. Brandon: an inhabitant of Pailles killed by a shark
A fishing trip turned to tragedy for a resident of Pailles off the island of St. Brandon. Vikash
Dhauroo, a fisherman of 40 years, was part of a fishing near the island of St. Brandon with other
fishermen.
Vikash Dhauroo caught a shark that was able to bring on board the boat. The shark reacted and
bit him on the arm. The victim is unconscious, losing a lot of blood, and passed away a few
hours later.
One of the fishermen warned the family of the victim Thursday, November 20th.

Un habitant de Pailles, âgé de 39 ans, a été attaqué
par un requin qu'il venait de pêcher et de remonter
sur son bateau. Il n’a pas survécu à ses blessures.
Selon Lexpress.mu , l'homme venait de ramener le
squale sur son bateau quand il a été mordu au bras.
Le pêcheur s'est alors vidé de son sang. Le bateau
est rentré à Port-Louis ce vendredi après-midi. La
police a ouvert une enquête.
