1. Lemberg, die Eingangstüre des Glas- und Kristall-Landes. Entdecken Sie die Geheimnisse und das Können der größten
Glaswerkmeister in Lemberg wo sich drei Kristallgeschäfte finden.
2. Nicht zu versäumen ist die Besichtigung von Saint-Louis-lès Bitche mit der ältesten Kristallerie Frankreichs, die „königliche
Kristallerie von Saint Louis“, die sich in diesem Ort befindet. Gehen Sie auf Entdeckungsreise in die Glasmanufaktur in der die
wertvollsten Stücke gestaltet werden, besuchen Sie desweiteren das Museum, in dem die Geschichte von vier Jahrhundertem
Können, vermittelt wird. Darüber hinaus lohnt sich ein Abstecher in das Kristallgeschäft im dem man ein außergewöhnliches

4. Bevor Sie nach Meisenthal gehen besuchen Sie Soucht, das letzte Holzschuhmacher- Dorf und das erst kürzlich fertig gestellte
neue Museum, das eine bemerkenswerte Kollektion von Holzschuhen präsentiert und auch den Alltag des Holzschuhmachers

5. Das Glaswerk von Meisenthal ist die Wiege des Jugendstils. Es ist heute der privilegierte Zeuge zwischen Bewahrung der
Vergangenheit und Modernität. Sind in diesen ehemaligen Gebäuden zu entdecken: das Museum mit seinen außergewöhnlichen
Sammelstücken, der CIAV wo man den Glasbläsern bei der Arbeit zuschauen kann. Die „Halle verrière“, die sich in den

6. Kleiner Umweg nach Wingen-sur-Moder, zu dem neuen Museum, errichtet zur Ehre des bemerkenswerten Erfinder

7. Zurück über Goetzenbruck ehemaliges Glaswerker-Dorf, das auf die Herstellung von Brillen- und Uhrengläser spezialisiert war.

3. A Montbronn, 4 autres cristalleries vous proposent des pièces à la vente.
4. Avant de rejoindre Meisenthal, passez par Soucht pour découvrir le dernier village des sabotiers et son tout nouveau
musée qui présente une impressionnante collection de sabots et retrace la vie des sabotiers. Très utiles aux travaux agricoles,
les sabots étaient aussi une protection indispensable pour le verrier. Visite : de Pâques à fin octobre. Renseignements au

5. Le Site Verrier de Meisenthal est le berceau de l’Art Nouveau. Il est aussi aujourd’hui le témoin privilégié d’un second
souffle et le mariage insolite entre mémoire et modernité. A découvrir sur le site verrier : Le Musée du Verre et du Cristal
avec sa somptueuse collection de pièces et chefs d’œuvre – Le Centre Internationnal d’Art Verrier et les démonstrations de
ses souffleurs de verre – La Halle verrière, haut lieu de programmation culturelle et d’expositions d’artistes contemporains.

PAYS DE BITCHE CYCLE TRACK > SCHORBACH - BITCHE – LEMBERG : 18 KM
From Schorbach to Lemberg via Bitche, this cycle track is dedicated to cycle tourism. There are many things to discover on
the way. Follow the green cycle signs.
1. Start your tour with a visit to the Ossuary at Schorbach; situated in the cemetery, closed to the church, the ossuary with its
stunning facade of roman arches and columns was built around 1125. In 1889, it was one of the first buildings in Pays de Bitche
to be classified as a Historic Monument.
2. The Universal Calendar of Peace and Fraternity is also not to be missed. This work of art was created by Joseph Kriegel, a
local painter and sculptor. For 20 years, from 1980 to 2000, this artist sculptured 366 portraits in sandstone of men and women
that have dedicated their lives to world peace. Visit: from April to October. For information: 03 87 96 06 75
3. Follow the cycle track to Bitche. As well as the many gardens in the town, you can visit the Garden for Peace or be seduced by
the imposing Citadel. Visit: the Garden for Peace: last Sunday in April to the first Sunday in October. For information: 03 87 96 95

4. Follow the cycle track through the forest to Lemberg, gateway to the Glass and Crystal country.
DIE FAHRRADWEGE DES BITCHERLANDES > SCHORBACH – BITCHE – LEMBERG : 18 KM
Von Schorbach nach Lemberg über Bitche findet man einen Radweg ganz für Radtouristen. Auf dieser Strecke werden Ihnen
viele Sehenswürdigkeiten und Entdeckungen angeboten. Folgen Sie der mit grünen Zeichen gekennzeichneten Strecke.
1. Der Besuch Schorbachs geht Richtung Kirche und dem im Friedhof liegenden unumgehbaren Knochenhaus das im 12ten
Jahrhundert errichtet und schon 1889 als historisches Monument ausgezeichnet wurde.
2. Nicht zu übersehen nach dem Knochenhaus der Universelle Kalender für den Frieden und die Brüderlichkeit, dieses
einzigartige Meisterstück realisierte ein lokaler Künstler - Maler und Bildhauer - namens Joseph Kriegel. Zwanzig Jahre lang
von 1980 bis 2000 hat der Künstler 366 Porträts von Personen, die sich für den Frieden in der Welt eingesetzt haben, aus
Sandstein gehauen. Besuchzeiten: von April bis Oktober, Tel. Auskunft 03 87 96 06 75
3. Weiter auf dem Fahrradweg nach Bitche , wo die diversen Gärten in der Stadt, der Garten für den Frieden und die Zitadelle
sie bezaubern werden. Besuch des Gartens für den Frieden: Vom letzten Sonntag im April bis ersten Sonntag im Oktober. Tel.

TEPACAP befindet aber auch Spielplätze ein Trimm-dich-Pfad und Spazierwege….
4. Weiter durch den Wald bis nach Lemberg, der Eingangstüre des Glas- und Kristall- Landes.
Suivre la piste et le balisage vert spécifique.
1. La visite du village de Schorbach passe par la découverte de son incontournable ossuaire. Situé dans le cimetière, à
proximité de l’Eglise, l’ossuaire de style roman a une très belle façade à colonnade surmontée d’arcs en pleins cintres. Sa
construction remonterait aux environs de 1125. Il est l’un des premiers édifices du Pays de Bitche a avoir été déclaré Monument
Historique en 1889.
2. A ne pas manquer après la visite de l’ossuaire, le Calendrier Universel de la Paix et de la Fraternité. Cette oeuvre unique
en son genre a été réalisée par Joseph Kriegel, peintre et sculpteur du Pays de Bitche. Durant 20 ans, de 1980 à 2000, l’artiste
a façonné dans le grès des Vosges, 366 portraits d’hommes et femmes, ayant oeuvré pour la paix dans le monde. Visite : D’avril

3. Poursuivre la piste cyclable en direction de Bitche. En plus des jardins disséminés en ville, la visite du Jardin pour la Paix et
de l’imposante Citadelle ne manqueront pas de vous séduire. Visite du Jardin pour la Paix : Du dernier dimanche d’avril au

En quittant Bitche, vous rejoindrez l’étang de Hasselfurth, avec son parc multiloisirs TEPACAP, ses aires de jeux, parcours de
santé, sentiers de promenades…
4. Poursuivre la piste cyclable à travers la forêt jusqu’à Lemberg, village porte d’entrée du Pays du Verre et du Cristal.
1. Start at Etang de Hanau, one of the biggest lakes in Pays de Bitche. There is a campsite on
the north side of the bank. This tourist site has many leisure activities. Nearby there is a nature

trail (1km) around a peat mire where you can uncover many rare and unusual plants that grow
in the Vosges du Nord. Note: this path is strictly for pedestrian use. Continue clockwise and take

2. Turn right at the next junction, RF de Landersberg and follow the signs to Sturzelbronn. Turn
left at the junction with the cross and right onto the D35. Take the second road to the left (direction Bremendell). Cross over the
border to Ludwigswinkel, a charming picturesque German village. In the centre of the village there is a huge park proposing
activities, notably a fun bare foot trail that amuses both children and adults.
3. Retrace the path passing Bremendell and return to Sturzelbronn. Here you can see the rest of a Cistercian Abbey founded in
1135. Further along you can see the small race of Scottish cattle known as Highland cattle which maintain the abandoned pastures.
4. Approximately 3km after the village, take the RF de Moosbach to your left and return towards Etang de Hanau. At the next
junction, 5 minutes to your left, the Chapel “Notre Dame des Bois” and its magnificent lake classified as a natural reserve.This
chapel made of red sandstone is an ideal place for a break.
5. Back at the junction; take a right and then left on to the RF de Biesenberg followed by the RF de la Petite Suisse. After approx.
2.5km turn left on the Waldeck road. The peacefulness surrounding the castle, the hamlet and the lake of the same name, will
leave unforgettable memories. Continue along the same road to get back to Etang de Hanau.
De Schorbach à Lemberg, en passant par Bitche, la piste cyclable est entièrement dédiée aux cyclotouristes. Sur ce parcours,
de nombreuses visites et découvertes vous sont proposées.
1. Abfahrt am Hanauer Weiher, einer der größten Weiher im Forst des Bitcherlandes. An seinen Ufern ist ein Campingplatz
eingerichtet. Vor Ort gibt es zahlreiche Freizeitangebote. In der Nähe befindet sich der botanische Weg durch das Torfmoor mit
seinen seltenen naturgeschützten Pflanzen der Nordvogesen. Zutritt des Torfmoors ist nur für Fußgänger erlaubt.
2. Weiter in Richtung Sturzelbronn durch die Waldstrasse von Hanau und Landersberg bis zur Bremendell wo man die Grenze
überschreitet um Ludwigswinkel zu erreichen ; dort liegt mitten im Dorf ein wunderschöner Park (u.a. mit Spielplatz und
Barfusspfad) der Kinder und Erwachsene gleichermassen zur Entspannung einlädt.
3. Nach diesem Abstecher geht es zurück über die Bremendell nach Sturzelbronn Richtung Bitche.
Während der Durchfahrt Sturzelbronn kann man die im Jahre 1135 gegründete Zisterzienserabtei
bewundern. Etwas weiter entlang den Tälern entdeckt man die kleinen schottische Kühe, die Highland
cattle, die die brachen Wiesen sauber halten.
4. An der Ausfahrt des Dorfes, Richtung Hanauer Weiher lohnt sich ein kleiner Umweg zu der Kapelle
Notre-Dame-des-Bois und dem schönen naturgeschützten kleinen Weiher. Diese bemerkenswerte
kleine Sandsteinkapelle befindet sich mitten im Wald und ist der ideale Ort um innezuhalten und Ruhe
zu finden.
5. Weiter nach dem kleinen Ort Waldeck wo der Weiher und das Schloss den gleichem Namen tragen,
dessen bukolischer Reiz Ihnen unvergesslichen Erinnerungen bescheren wird. Dann zurück zum
Hanauer Weiher.

1. At Sarreguemines,, the Moulin de la Blies (Mill on the Blies) proposes a visit around an old
earthenware factory. In the middle of the ruins, the Garden of Faience Workers inspires artists, with
their mix of colours and use of ceramic.
2. The route branches out to Bitche,, which also has a four flower distinction as well as a national
award for its flower displays called the “Golden Flower”. You path will take you
through the flowering streets towards the Vauban Citadel and the Garden of
Peace, a contemporary garden which changes constantly.
3. Gardens in the heart of Europe, the Rose Garden at Zweibrucken. Make an
excursion into the heart of Europe, leaving Pays de Bitche and entering Germany to
visit the Rose Garden at Zweibrucken. This European rose garden situated around a
lake has more than 60,000 roses, 2000 varieties.

CIRCUIT 3 > STRAY INTO GLASS AND CRYSTAL COUNTRY:
1. Bitche Citadel. Originally on the grounds of a feudal castle, the medieval circle tour starts at Bitche with the Citadel built by
Vauban. A scenic tour retraces Colonel Teyssier and his men during the 1870 siege.

2. The ruins of Waldeck, Falkenstein, Ramstein and Grand Arnsbourg. These medieval ruins are witness to Pays de Bitche’s
turbulent past. Situated on walking trails, some of these ruins are only partially accessible. There is a new path around the
Ramstein ruins with a viewpoint and panoramic table.
3. Following the medieval route into Alsace to Niederbronn-Lès-Bains. What to discover: the Wasenbourg ruins dating
back to the 13th century and the Celtic Camp, a small cyclopean enclosure situated at 476m of altitude above the town - the
Maison de l’Archéologie (the house of archaeology) gives you a full panorama of the archaeological research in Northern Alsace.
4. Continue following the route around the Alsatian castles: discover the new and old Windstein castle, Wineck castle,
Schoeneck, the petit Arnsbourg, Lutzelhardt and at Obersteinbach visit the “Maison des Châteaux-forts” (a museum all about
the castles around the area). Fleckenstein castle in the Wissembourg direction, near Lembach, has dedicated a section to
children (entrance fee). Other sites nearby: the Wasigenstein ruin.
5. On the way back, discover the remains of the Cistercian Abbey of Sturzelbronn, an old abbey founded in 1135 on grounds that
were offered by the Duke of Lorraine. It was dismantled during the Revolution. There is a free pedestrian trail around the village.
Situated close to Germany, Pays de Bitche was the scene for many wars and invasions during the last two millenaries.
Because of its geographical position, there were many strongholds. The ruins and remnants of castles are witness to
seigniorial feuds and mark the local history.
LES PISTES CYCLABLES DU PAYS DE BITCHE > SCHORBACH – BITCHE - LEMBERG : 18 KM
1. Prendre le départ à l’étang de Hanau, l’un des plus grands étangs forestiers du Pays de Bitche. Sur ses abords, un camping
est aménagé. Le site est agrémenté de nombreux loisirs et activités. A proximité, le sentier botanique de la tourbière long d’un
kilomètre vous permettra de découvrir des plantes des Vosges du Nord aussi rares que surprenantes. Attention, le sentier est
strictement réservé aux piétons.
2. Poursuivre en direction de Sturzelbronn, par la route forestière de Hanau puis la route forestière du Landersberg. A
Sturzelbronn, au lieu-dit la Bremendell, vous franchirez la frontière pour rejoindre Ludwigswinkel, charmant petit bourg
allemand au caractère pittoresque. Au coeur du village, un immense parc de verdure propose des zones d’activités et de
détente dont un parcours ludique à faire pieds nus qui amusera petits et grands.
3. Après la visite, rebrousser chemin vers la Bremendell, Sturzelbronn puis prendre la direction de Bitche. Dans la traversée
de Sturzelbronn, vous dépasserez les vestiges d’une ancienne Abbaye cistercienne fondée en 1135. Plus loin, dans les vallées,
de petites vaches de race écossaise, les Highland cattle, entretiennent les patûres abandonnées.
4. Après la sortie du village, reprendre la route forestière en direction de l’étang de Hanau et faire un bref aller-retour pour
découvrir la chapelle Notre-Dame-des-Bois et son magnifique petit étang classé Réserve Naturelle. Cette magnifique
chapelle de grès des Vosges trône en pleine forêt, lieu idéal pour se recueillir.
5. Poursuivre vers le hameau de Waldeck, le château et l’étang du même nom dont les charmes bucoliques vous laisseront
d’impérissables souvenirs. Puis, retour à l’étang de Hanau.
Ce circuit cyclotouristique vous propose une découverte à vélo du territoire boisé transfrontalier situé entre l’Etang de
Hanau à Philippsbourg et Ludwigswinkel en Allemagne. Il s’agit d’un itinéraire conseillé non balisé d’une distance de
34km environ.

1. Le circuit démarre au Moulin d’Eschviller, près de Volmunster. Le site du Moulin d’Eschviller a entièrement dédié
son offre de découverte autour du rapport que l’homme a entretenu avec son environnement. Dans un cadre naturel
remarquable, découvrez un ancien moulin à grain, une scierie et revivez le travail des meuniers ainsi que celui des
scieurs. La visite se complète par le rucher pédagogique qui vous plonge dans le monde fascinant des abeilles. Sur place

heutigen Tage erhalten konnte.
CIRCUIT 3 > ESCAPADE AU PAYS DES MAÎTRES VERRIERS ET DU CRISTAL :
1. Die Zitadelle von Bitche: Die mittelalterliche große Schleife fängt in Bitche mit der Endeckung der Festung an, die
ursprünglich ein feudales Schloss war, Vauban baute sie um zur Festung. Der Besuch der Zitadelle beginnt an mit einem Film
Rundgang der den Widerstand des Obersten Teyssiers und seine Truppen während der Belagerung von 1870 schildert.

bezeugen die stürmische Vergangenheit des Bitcherlandes. Die, die sich auf Wanderwegen befinden sind nur teilweise zu
besichtigen. Die Ruine vom Ramstein in Baerenthal verfügt über eine neue Entdeckungstrecke und eine Orientierungstafel.
3. Verfolgung der mittelalterliche Rundreise Niederbronn-les-Bains im Elsass. Dort zu entdecken ist die Ruine der
Wasenbourg die aus dem 13 Jahrhundert stammt sowie das Haus der Archäologie das alle archäologischen Forschungen die
im Nord Elsass durchführt wurden, darstellt.
4. Nehmen Sie den Weg zu den elsässischen Schlösser: Entdeckungen der Schlösser Windstein( Alt und neu Windstein),
Schoeneck, der kleine Arnsbourg und die Lutzelhardt in Obersteinbach. Besuchen Sie die „Maison des Châteaux Forts“. In
Richtung Wissembourg liegt in Lembach das Schloss Fleckenstein das hauptsächlich dem kleinen Publikum gewidmet ist
(Zahlender Eintritt) und auch die Ruine des Wasigenstein.
5 . Auf der Ruckfahrt kommen Sie durch Sturzelbronn, wo man die Überreste der Zisterzienserabtei sehen kann.
Diese Abtei wurde 1135 gegründet. Ein Rundgand durch das Dorf lohnt sich.

tumultueux du Pays de Bitche. Situées sur des circuits de randonnée pédestre, ces ruines ne sont pour certaines que partiellement
visitables. La ruine du Ramstein à Baerenthal dispose d’un nouveau parcours de découverte et d’une table d’orientation.
3. Poursuite du circuit médiéval en Alsace à Niederbronn-lès-Bains. A découvrir : La ruine de la Wasenbourg datant du
13ème siècle et le Camp Celtique, petite enceinte cyclopéenne située à 476m d’altitude. La Maison de l’Archéologie présente
quant à elle, un panorama complet sur les recherches archéologiques dans le Nord de l’Alsace.
4. Emprunter la route des châteaux alsaciens : découverte des châteaux de Windstein (Vieux et Nouveau
Windstein), le Wineck, le Schoeneck, le Petit Arnsbourg et la Lutzelhardt à Obersteinbach. Visiter la Maison
des Châteaux-forts. En direction de Wissembourg, à Lembach, le château du Fleckenstein a dédié une
partie de sa visite au jeune public (entrée payante). Autre site à proximité : la ruine du Wasigenstein.
5. Au retour, découverte des vestiges de l’Abbaye Cistercienne de Sturzelbronn, ancienne Abbaye
fondée en 1135 sur des terres offertes par le Duc de Lorraine, démantelée durant la Révolution. Circuitdécouverte libre dans le village.
La tradition verrière est ancrée dans le patrimoine du Pays de Bitche depuis la nuit des temps et a su se perpétuer jusqu’à
aujourd’hui.

Das Bitcherland nahe Deutschland liegend war das Theater mehrere Kriege und Invasionen während zwei Jahrtausend. Die
Vergangenheit verbunden mit der geographischen Lage hat dieser Gegend zahlreiche Festungen hinterlassen. Die Ruinen
und Überreste der zahlreiche herrschaftliche Schlösser haben die örtliche Geschichte gekennzeichnet.
CIRCUIT 2 > THE MEDIEVAL CIRCLE
As you make your way along this route of underground forts conceived by Andre Maginot between the two World Wars, you
will understand the magnitude of this colossal network of reinforced concrete which lies along the French border.
1. The Aquatic Maginot Line: At the beginning of the route, before Sarreguemines, you are on the Aquatic Maginot Line. This
natural defence, by flooding, is part of this famous line. Situated on the Saar border, it was a potential entry access for the
enemy. Therefore in case of invasion, Andre Maginot built a defence system which flooded this zone creating a natural barrier for
enemy tanks, etc… Discover: The small blockhouses at Macheren, the anti-tank wagon at Barst, the reservoirs at Dieffenbach
and Puttelange-aux-Lacs, the Hoste floodgates.
2. Fort Casso at Rohrbach-lès-Bitche: This small infantry fort is also a link on the
Maginot Line. It is composed of an entrance block (with mixed arms) and two combat
blocks. These blocks are connected by underground galleries. The fort also has its own
barracks that could hold a company of 200 soldiers. Visit: All year. For information: 03

3. Fort Simserhof at Légeret, an underground village: Simserhof at Légeret is
considered to be one of the four main fortresses on the Maginot Line. It gives you
an impressive insight of this line of defence: a 3 hour visit harmoniously combining
the authenticity with modern cinematographic projections of the history of the site, an
automatic vehicle taking you to the heart of the fort as well as guided tour on foot. Visit:

4. The floodable valley of Dambach and Neunhoffen: In the 30’s, during the
construction of the Maginot Line, 12 dams were built in the Schwarzbach valley allowing
the valley to be flooded in case of enemy invasion. To do : the walking trail of the Maginot
Line.
5. Four à Chaux at Lembach: destined to protect the Sauer valley, this fort has a 4 km

1. Die Linie Maginot „Aquatique“ (Wasserüberschwemmung): zu Beginn der Strecke, vor Sarreguemines, sind Sie auf dem Weg
der Linie Maginot „Aquatique“. Diese natürliche Abwehranlage durch Überschwemmung gehört auch zur Maginot Linie. Dieser
nahe dem Saarland liegende Bereich konnte eine Zugangstür für den Feind sein. André Maginot ließ dort ein Abwehrsystem
errichten, das im Falle einer Invasion durch den Feind das Tal überschwemmt und den Panzern der Angreifer den Zugang
verwehrt. Zu entdecken: die kleinen Bunker von Macheren, der panzerbrechende Waggon von Barst, die Wasserstauteiche von
Dieffenbach und Puttelange-aux-Lacs, der Maschinenraum des Staudammes von Hoste.
2. Das Fort Casso in Rohrbach-les-Bitche: Dieses kleine Infanteriebauwerk ist ein weiterer Baustein der Maginot Linie.
Er besteht aus einem Block mit gemischtem Eingang (Personen und Munition) und aus zwei Kampfblöcken. Diese Blöcke
sind unter sich mit unterirdischen Galerien verbunden. Die Anlage besitzt eine Kaserne die eine Besatzung von ungefähr

3. Das Artilleriebauwerk des Simserhof in Légeret, eine unterirdische Stadt: Der Simserhof in Légeret, ist als eines der
vier wichtigsten Bauwerke der Maginot Linie bekannt. Er bietet eine beeindruckende Betrachtungsweise dieser Abwehrfront:
ein Besuch von etwa 3 Stunden vereinigt harmonisch die Authentizität des Ortes und die Modernität der cinemathografischen
Untermalungstrecke mit der Projektion eines historischen Filmes. An Bord eines automatisierten Fahrzeuges bzw. zu Fuß wird
Ihnen eine einzigartige, kommentierte Besichtigungstour im Herzen des Bauwerks angeboten. Besuch: vom Mitte März bis

4. Das überschwemmungsfähige Tal von Dambach-Neunhoffen. In den dreißiger Jahren im Rahmen der Bereitstellung der
Maginot Linie wurden im Schwarzbachtal 12 Staudämme errichtet, um im Falle eines Truppenangriffs eine Überschwemmung
zu ermöglichen. Zu machen : der Fussweg von der Maginot Linie.
5. Der Kalkofen (le Four à chaux) in Lembach war vorgesehen, das Tal der Sauer zu schützen. Dieses Werk besteht aus einem
unterirdischem Netz von 4 km Länge, 6 Kampfblöcken, einem Kraftwerk und versenkbaren Türme für Artelleriegeschütze…
Situé à proximité de l’Allemagne, le Pays de Bitche a été le théâtre des guerres et des invasions pendant deux millénaires.
Ce passé lié à sa situation géographique lui a légué de nombreuses places fortes. Parmi elles, les ruines et vestiges de
châteaux-forts témoignent des nombreuses querelles seigneuriales ayant marqué l’histoire locale.
1. La ligne Maginot Aquatique : Au départ du parcours, avant Sarreguemines, vous êtes sur la route de la Ligne Maginot
Aquatique. Ce dispositif de défense naturel par moyen d’inondation fait partie de la Ligne Maginot. Située à l’entrée de la
Sarre, cette trouée constituait une porte d’accès potentielle pour l’ennemi. André Maginot y fit alors édifier un système de
défense permettant en cas d’invasion, d’ennoyer cette zone pour barrer la route aux chars et attaquants. À découvrir : Les petits
blockhaus de Macheren, le Wagon antichar de Barst, les étangs réservoirs de Dieffenbach et Puttelange-aux-Lacs, le local aux
vannes d’Hoste.
2. Le Fort Casso à Rohrbach-lès-Bitche : Ce petit ouvrage d’infanterie est un maillon de la Ligne Maginot. Il est composé
d’un bloc à entrée mixte et de deux blocs de combat. Ces organes sont reliés entre eux par des galeries souterraines. L’ouvrage
possède un casernement ayant accueilli un équipage composé d’environ 200 soldats. Visite : toute l’année. Renseignements

3. L’ouvrage du Simserhof au Légeret, une ville souterraine : Le Simserhof au Légeret, est
considéré comme l’un des quatre plus importants ouvrages de la Ligne Maginot. Il offre
une impressionnante vision de cette ligne de défense : une visite d’environ 3 heures associe
harmonieusement authenticité des lieux et modernité du parcours cinématographique
avec projection d’un film historique, voyage au cœur de l’ouvrage à bord d’un véhicule
automatisé ainsi qu’un parcours pédestre guidé. Visite : de mi-mars à mi-novembre.

4. La vallée inondable de Dambach-Neunhoffen. Dans les années 30, dans le cadre
de la mise en place de la Ligne Maginot, la vallée du Schwarzbach a fait l’objet de divers
aménagements constitués de 12 barrages permettant l’inondation de la vallée en cas
d’avancée des troupes ennemis. A faire : le sentier pédestre de la Ligne Maginot.
