Roy has been immersed in Asian
business and culture since 1994
and speaks fluent Mandarin
Chinese.
He launched ChinaContact in
2005 after working in Shanghai
and Beijing for three years and
focuses his consultancy practice
on China's tourism and hospitality
sectors. Roy also founded
China Edge in 2013 as a training
and advisory business for UK
retailers and hospitality providers.

Chinese and Economics from the
School of Oriental and African
Studies (SOAS), University of
London.
He has made his career in travel
and tourism business development
with an emphasis on China. He has
a deep understanding of China's
culture and business practices
developed from academia, public
and private sector work. He is an
experienced travel marketing and
distribution executive involved in ecommerce, online travel and
hospitality.

The team is comprised of mul--­‐lingual, crea-ve and experienced marke-ng and research professionals located in Beijing, Shanghai, Taipei and London. Our core team is supplemented by talented freelance staff that work on project-­‐basis for campaigns and events. Sylvie Chen, Director of Opera-ons Sylvie has 10 years of experience in travel agency product design, marke-ng, sales and tour leading. She is an award winning tour planner previously with Sunshine Travel Agency (BCD Taiwan). Manuela Barba, Sales Manager Manuela holds two Master degrees, one in Intercultural Rela-ons and Interna-onal Coopera-on from the university of Lille where she was also in charge of organizing conferences, and one in Business and Management. ALer working as marke-ng specialist in media and entertainment sector in China, Leon has gained profound insight into the tourism and hotel industry from his master study at Oxford Brookes University.
