Dear user,
thanks for purchasing one of our products!
If your product is labeled as an „Authorization Key“ product, please read the following
information about the product activation carefully. If you you purchased a product that does
NOT require the yellow tools Authorization Key (USB dongle) but an E-License, please read
the „E-License Manager“ manual.
Your product has to get activated on your Authorization Key before full functionality is
available. This activation process is very easy and can be completed with the yellow tools
Key Manager software online or offline in a few minutes.
To give you full control over your Authorization Key we developed the Yellow Tools Key
Manager.
This software is available as preference panel for Mac OS X and as application for Windows
XP / Vista and enables you to exercise the following options:
• Status of the Key and updates:
You get a read out of all products currently available on your Keys. Should there be an update for your Authorization Key software, you can update your Key immediately.
• Activation of additional products via entering an Activation Code:
If you have purchased a new yellow tools product that includes an Activation Code, you can enter this code here and activate your new product on your Authorization Key.
• Moving of authorizations between multiple Keys:
If you own multiple Authorization Keys, you can move certain authorizations to the Key of your choice. This way you have the ability to use our products with greater flexibility among multiple work spaces.
• If you don‘t want to program your Key online, you can also program the Key manually.
Programming the Key online is not in any way connected to the computer where you are
installing our products; the Key can be managed on any MAC OS X or WINDOWS XP/
VISTA computer you might have, providing it has a USB port, internet connection and you
installed the Yellow Tools Key Manager.

The Yellow Tools Key Manager has the following system requirements:
• Windows XP / Vista 32bit & 64bit versions
• Mac OS 10.2.1 or higher
• Internet connection for online activation or movement of products
The Key Manager offers two ways to manage your Authorization Key(s) and products:
• Online Management:
• Manual Management:
If your computer is connected to the internet you can activate and move products immediately.
If you do not want to activate products online you can also read out your key in a file and send this file to our support center via email.
The operation of the Key Manager software for Mac and Windows works exactly the same
way - the screenshots in this manual are from the Mac version.
This document only explains the activation process on the Authorization Key.
There are a lot more functions and features available - please read the „Key Manager“
manual for more details.
IMPORTANT:
WHEN YOU MAKE USE OF THE ONLINE PRODUCT ACTIVATION OR MOVEMENT, NEVER DISCONNECT YOUR AUTHORIZATION KEYS DURING THIS PROCESS. YOU WILL ALWAYS GET A CONFIRMATION MESSAGE WHEN THE PROCESS IS FINISHED. ALSO MAKE SURE THAT ANY FIREWALLS AND ANTI-VIRUS APPLICATIONS ARE DISABLED DURING ANY ONLINE PROCESS!

Online Product Activation (online connection required!):
In this area you can activate additional products on the selected Authorization Key. For any activation you need an „Activation Code“. If the product you purchased first has to get activated on your Authorization Key, you will find this Code on your registration card. The Code is NOT the serial number of the product and contains five sections, each with six characters.
To activate a product please first select the Authorization Key on which you want to activate the product. Now enter the Activation Code and please pay attention to the upper and lower case of the characters. Before you start the activation please make sure your Authorization Key is still connected to your computer and your computer is connected to the internet. Click the „Activate Product“ button afterwards to start the online activation. If the activation was successful the following message will show up and the product will now be listed in your „Product Column“:

Manual Product Activation part 1: „Save Key File (RTC)“

If you do not want to make use of the online programing options of the Yellow Tools Key Manager you can also manage your Key manually. The first step for this process is the read out of the Key information into a file. These files are so-called RTC files and contain the file extension *.rtc. Then you have to send this file via email to our support, we activate the product and send the file back to you.
To create this file please select the Key you want to read out from the Key pull-down menu and click the „Save Key File (RTC) button. The Key Manager for Mac OS X will always save RTC files directly onto your desktop. On Windows the RTC file gets saved in the Key Manager program folder.
The name of the RTC file is always the serial number of the selected Key.
If the Key was read out successfully, the following message will show up - of course with a different user name:
The yellow tools support center can now activate your product using the received RTC file. Edited RTC files get saved as so-called RTU files. These files contain the updated information, in this case the product activation.
In short: You send a RTC file and get back a RTU file. The RTU file you will receive has the same name as your RTC file, only the file extension changed to *.rtu.
Save the RTU file from the email onto your desktop (Mac OS X) or in the Key Manager program folder (Windows) - it is important that the RTU file is placed at the same location where the RTC file was created!
Now start the Yellow Tools Key Manager again, select the Key you‘ve created the RTC file from and click the „Load Key File (RTU) button. The following message will show up and the product was activated on your Authorization Key successfully.
Send this *.rtc file together with the other required product information to
„[email protected].

Wenn dein Produkt als ein „Authorization Key“ Produkt gekennzeichnet ist, lies die
folgenden Informationen über die Produktaktivierung bitte sorgfältig durch. Solltest du ein
Produkt erworben haben, das den yellow tools Authorization Key (USB Dongle) NICHT

Dein Produkt muss für die volle Funktionsfähigkeit zuerst auf deinem Authorization Key
aktiviert werden. Dieser Aktivierungsvorgang ist sehr einfach und kann in nur wenigen
Minuten mit der Key Manager Software online oder offline durchgeführt werden.
Um ihnen die bestmögliche Kontrolle über ihren Authorization Key zu ermöglichen, haben
wir den yellow tools Key Manager entwickelt. Diese Software ist als Mac OS X Kontrollfeld
für ihre Systemeinstellungen und als Programm für Windows verfügbar und beinhaltet die
folgenden Funktionen:
• Status und Updaten des Key:
Alle Produkte, die sich momentan auf ihrem Key befinden werden ausgelesen und entsprechend angezeigt. Sollte es ein Update für ihren Key geben, so können sie dieses sofort auf ihren Key laden.
• Aktivierung zusätzlicher Produkte durch Activation Codes:
Wenn sie ein neues yellow tools Produkt erworben haben, dass einen Activation Code beinhaltet, können sie diesen Code hier eingeben und so das neue Produkt auf ihrem Key aktivieren.
• Verschieben von Produkten zwischen mehreren Keys:
Wenn sie mehrere Authorization Keys besitzen, können sie ihre Produkte zwischen diesen Keys beliebig verschieben. Dadurch können sie unsere Produkte mit höherer Flexibilität zwischen mehreren Arbeitsplätzen nutzen.
• Wenn sie ihren Key nicht online programmieren möchten, bietet der Key Manager zusätzlich die Option zur manuellen Programmierung.
Die Programmierung des Keys ist nicht an den Computer gebunden, auf dem sie unsere
Produkte installiert haben und benutzen. Sie können den Key auf jedem Mac OS X und
Windows XP/VISTA Computer programmieren, vorausgesetzt dieser hat einen USB port,
eine Internet Verbindung und sie haben den yellow tools Key Manager installiert.

Die Bedienung des Key Managers ist für Mac und Windows völlig identisch - die
Screenshots dieses Handbuchs sind von der Mac Version.
Dieses Dokument erklärt lediglich den Aktivierungsprozess auf dem Authorization Key.
Der Key Manager verfügt noch über weitere Funktionen und Features - bitte lesen sie das
„Key Manager“ Handuch für weitere Details.

Online Produkt Aktivierung (Online Verbindung vorausgesetzt!):
In diesem Bereich können sie weitere Produkte auf ihrem ausgewählten Authorization Key aktivieren.Für jede Aktivierung benötigen sie einen „Activation Code“. Wenn sie ein Produkt erworben haben, das erst noch auf ihrem Authorization Key aktiviert werden muss, befindet sich dieser Code auf ihrer Registrierkarte. Der Activation Code ist NICHT ihre Seriennummer und hat folgendes Schema:
Um ein Produkt zu aktivieren wählen sie bitte zuerst den Key aus, auf dem sie das Produkt aktivieren möchten. Anschließend geben sie den Code ein. Bevor sie die Aktivierung starten stellen sie bitte sicher, dass ihr Key mit dem Computer verbunden ist und dieser mit dem Internet verbunden ist. Klicken sie anschließend den “Activate Product” Button um die Online Aktivierung zu starten.
Nach erfolgreicher Aktivierung erhalten sie folgende Meldung und das Produkt wird nun in der Produktspalte angezeigt:

Wenn sie die online Programmierung des Yellow Tools Key Manager nicht verwenden möchten, können sie ihre Keys auch manuell verwalten. Dieser Button liest ihren Key in eine Datei aus - in sogenannten RTC Dateien (Datei Endung *.rtc). Senden sie diese Datei per email an unseren Support. Wir werden das Produkt umgehend aktivieren und ihnen die Datei zurücksenden.
Um diese Datei zu erstellen wählen sie bitte den Key, den sie auslesen möchten aus dem Key Pull-Down Menü aus und klicken anschließend den “Save Key File (RTC)” Button. Der Key Manager für Mac OS X speichert RTC Dateien immer automatisch auf ihrem Schreibtisch. Die Windows Version speichert die RTC Datei immer in ihrem lokalen “Key Manager” Programmordner. Der Name ihrer RTC Datei ist automatisch immer die Seriennummer ihres ausgewählten Authorization Keys. Wenn der Auslesevorgang erfolgreich abgeschlossen wurde erscheint die folgende Meldung - natürlich mit einem anderen User Namen (Mac OS X):
Durch ihre RTC Datei kann unser support center ihr Produkt nun aktivieren. Aktivierte RTC Dateien werden in sogenannten RTU Dateien gespeichert. Diese Dateien beinhalten die neuen Informationen, in diesem Fall die Produktaktivierung.
Kurz gesagt: Sie senden uns eine RTC Datei, erhalten eine RTU Datei zurück und speichern diese Datei an der gleichen Stelle, an der sich die RTC Datei befindet. Die RTU Datei, die sie erhalten werden, hat den gleichen Namen wie ihre RTC Datei, lediglich die Dateiendung wurde zu *.rtu geändert.
Schicken sie die *.RTC Datei zusammen mit den benötigten Produktinformationen an “[email protected].
Speichern sie die RTU Datei von der Email auf ihrem Schreibtisch (Mac OS X) oder in ihrem lokalen “Key Manager” Programmordner, starten sie den yellow tools Key Manager erneut, wählen sie ihren Key aus, von dem sie die RTU Datei erzeugt haben und klicken sie auf den “Load Key File (RTU)” Button. Das Produkt wurde somit erfolgreich auf ihrem Authorization Key aktiviert.

Si votre produit est marqué « produit avec Clé d‘Autorisation » (Authorisation Key), veuillez
lire attentivement les informations suivantes concernant son activation. Si vous avez acheté
un produit qui ne nécessite pas le Yellow Tools „Clé d‘Autorisation “(clef USB), mais plutôt
une E-license, merci de lire le „E-License Manager“ manuel. Votre produit doit être activé
sur votre „Clé d‘Autorisation“ avant que toutes les fonctionnalités soient disponibles. Cette
activation est très simple et peut être réalisée avec le Yellow Tools Key Manager Software
en ligne en quelques minutes.

développé le Yellow Tools Key Manager.

Ce logiciel est disponible comme panneau de préférence pour Mac OS X et comme
application pour Windows XP / Vista et permet d’exercer les options suivantes :
Le fonctionnement du logiciel Key Manager pour Mac et Windows fonctionne exactement de
la même manière - les captures d‘écran dans ce manuel sont issues de la version Mac.
• Etat de la Clé et les mises à jour. On vous propose un résumé de tous les produits actuellement disponibles sur vos Clés. Dans le cas où il y aurait une mise à jour du logiciel de votre „Clé d‘Autorisation “, ceci vous permet immédiatement de mettre à jour votre Clé.
• L’activation de nouveaux produits par l’introduction d’un Code d’Activation : Si vous avez acheté un produit Yellow Tools avec une Clé d’Activation, vous pouvez rentrer votre code ici et activer votre produit sur votre „Clé d‘Autorisation “.
• Déplacer des autorisations entre différentes clés. Si vous possédez plusieurs „Clés d‘Autorisation“, vous pouvez les déplacer vers la clé de votre choix. De cette façon, vous avez la possibilité d‘utiliser nos produits avec une plus grande souplesse entre
les multiples espaces de travail. Si vous ne souhaitez pas programmer votre clé en ligne, vous avez la possibilité également d’éditer la clé manuellement.
Ce document explique uniquement le processus d‘activation de la Clé d‘Autorisation.
Il ya beaucoup plus de fonctions et fonctionnalités disponibles – Merci de lire la
documentation „Key Manager“ pour plus de détails.
La programmation de la Clé en ligne n‘est en aucune façon reliée à l‘ordinateur sur lequel
vous installez nos produits, la clé peut être gérée sur tout autre ordinateur dont vous
disposez et ce sous Mac OS X ou Windows XP / VISTA, à condition qu‘il dispose d‘un port
USB, d’une connexion Internet et que Yellow Tools Key Manager ait été installé.
IMPORTANT:
Si votre ordinateur est connecté à Internet, vous pouvez activer et déplacer des produits immédiatement.
Si vous ne souhaitez pas activer les produits en ligne, vous pouvez aussi enregistrer le contenu de la clé dans un fichier et puis l‘envoyer à notre centre de support par e-mail.

Activation du Produit en Ligne (nécessite une connexion en ligne!):
Ici, vous pouvez activer d‘autres produits sur la clé d‘autorisation sélectionnée. Pour toute
activation vous avez besoin d‘un „Code d‘Activation“. Si le produit que vous avez acheté
doit d’abord être activé sur votre Clé d’Autorisation, vous trouverez ce code sur votre
carte d‘enregistrement. Le Code N’EST PAS le numéro de série du produit et contient cinq
sections, chacune d’elle comporte six caractères:
Pour activer un produit, merci de sélectionner tout d‘abord la Clé d‘Autorisation sur lequel
vous souhaitez activer le produit. Maintenant, entrez le Code d‘Activation en prêtant
attention aux caractères majuscules et minuscules. Avant de commencer l‘activation merci
de vous assurer que votre Clé d‘Autorisation est toujours connectée à votre ordinateur et
que votre ordinateur est bien connecté à Internet. Ensuite cliquez sur le bouton „Activate
Product“ pour lancer l’activation en ligne. Si l‘activation a réussi, le message suivant sera
affiché et le produit sera désormais inscrit dans votre „Colonne du produit“:

Activation Manuelle du produit partie 1: „Enregistrer le contenue de la clé dans un
fichier (RTC)“
Si vous ne souhaitez pas utiliser les options d’édition en ligne de la Yellow Tools Key
Manager, vous pouvez aussi gérer vos clés manuellement. La première étape de ce
processus est l’enregistrement du contenu de la clé dans un fichier. Ces fichiers sont
appelés fichiers RTC et contiennent l‘extension de fichier *. RTC. Ensuite, vous devez
envoyer ce fichier par courrier électronique à notre support technique afin que nous
activions le produit et vous retournions le fichier.
Pour créer ce fichier, merci de sélectionner la Clé que vous souhaitez enregistrer à partir du
menu déroulant et cliquer sur le bouton „Save Key File (RTC)“. La Key Manager pour Mac
OS X enregistrera le fichier RTC directement sur votre bureau. Sous Windows, le fichier
RTC est sauvegardé dans le dossier du programme Key Manager.
Le nom du fichier RTC est toujours le numéro de série de la clé sélectionnée.
Si la Clé a été enregistrée avec succès, le message suivant sera affiché - bien entendu avec
un autre nom d‘utilisateur:
Envoyez ce fichier *.rtc accompagné de l‘ensemble des informations nécessaires du
produit à : [email protected]“.

Activation Manuelle du produit partie 2: „Charger la Clé (RTU)“:
Le centre de support de Yellow Tools peut désormais activer votre produit en utilisant le
fichier RTC que vous venez de recevoir. Les fichiers RTC édités sont désormais enregistrés
comme des fichiers RTU. Ces fichiers contiennent des informations à jour, dans ce cas
l‘activation du produit.
En bref : vous envoyez un fichier RTC et vous récupérez un fichier RTU. Le fichier RTU que
vous recevrez a le même nom que votre fichier RTC, seul l‘extension du fichier a changé en
*.rtu.
Enregistrez le fichier RTU de l‘e-mail sur votre bureau (Mac OS X) ou dans le dossier du
programme Key Manager (Windows) - il est important que le fichier RTU soit placé au
même endroit où le fichier RTC a été crée !
Maintenant, lancez de nouveau le Yellow Tools Key Manager, sélectionnez la Clé RTC que
vous avez créée et cliquez sur le bouton „Load Key File (RTU) “. Le message suivant sera
affiché indiquant que le produit a été activé avec succès sur votre Clé d‘Autorisation.
