Social skills and competences
I am sociable, supportive and customer focused; I have extensive experience in recruiting and
managing a team of up to 25 interpreters as well as organising and delivering training with a view to
further develop participants’ expertise.
I can communicate confidently with a wide range of people and audiences and I believe having
people’s best interests at heart, regardless of their needs or backgrounds, is the key to positive social
interactions.
Organisational skills and
competences
Both my background in Law and Project Management have contributed to developing my
organisational skills to a very high standard. I can manage different tasks simultaneously as well as
work under pressure and plan accordingly.
I have extensive experience in monitoring projects in local communities as well as organising
conferences and training days for local services on inclusion and equality.
All the participants’ evaluations of the events, in terms of contents and organisation, were very positive
giving them the opportunity to acquire new skills and share good practice.
Technical skills and competences
I am an accredited Prince 2 Practitioner and I can confidently use project management methods and
techniques.
I have also used and created many tools and resources over the years, particularly training materials
as well as assessments and tracking progress tools aimed at supporting pupils’ achievement in
schools. These tools were disseminated across local schools and services through networks,
conferences and professional development days where I was in charge of training the staff to use
them confidently and accordingly.
Computer skills and competences I am a proficient PC user, I use all MS Office products (incl. outlook, word, excel, power point)
regularly and I completed an Excel training level 1 in July 2008.
I also have experience in monitoring and editing a website aimed at supporting local services and
schools on the needs of ethnic minority communities.
In addition, I have completed in depth internet and computer based research with a view to create
learning and training materials for targeted audiences and practitioners.
Other skills and competences
I have been trained in recruitment and selection processes (July 2007) and have been involved in
writing job descriptions, interviewing and chairing panels.
I have also undertaken Child Protection training, Level 1 and 2, (September 2009) and completed a 2
day “train the trainer” course (November 2010).
