Pourquoi désirez‐vous faire partie du conseil d’administration de l’ACEI? CIRA represents canadian internet space. I believe that there's a need for stronger representation of Canadian domains to not only help Canadians achieve their business and personal goals but make the Canadian internet brand stronger. Canadians shouldn't feel the need to obtain a .com and a .ca domain. A .ca domain should be able to help them all their business objectives. As a member of board of directors of CIRA, i can help drive the strategy and help setup a governance model that can help CIRA and Canadian achieve this. 2. Quelles sont les compétences ou les expériences particulières que vous possédez et qui font de vous le meilleur candidat pour le conseil d’administration de l’ACEI? Vision & Strategy – advanced ability to create the right technology vison/strategy to achieve your specific short- and long-term business goals Advanced technology expertise – broad and deep skills across the entire spectrum of enterprise technology including infrastructure, IT operations, IT service delivery, business performance, technology risk management, global program and PMO leadership, etc. Business innovation – particularly passionate as a strategic business partner in building cutting-edge companies committed to innovation and excellence. Skills complemented by both a Rotman MBA and Global Executive MBA (St. Gallen, Switzerland) Leadership – motivating leader and a passionate champion for positive change 3. Quels seront, selon vous, les trois principaux défis et les trois possibilités clés devant lesquels le domaine .CA se trouvera au cours des trois à cinq prochaines années? 1 .Com is always a 1st preference for many Canadians, especially when doing business across the border. This will diminish the need of the . ca. 2. Business owners and consumers know about .ca domain but they don't know what it means and how it can help them with their objectives vs any other domain. Low value of having a .ca domain. 3. Most of the Canadians don't know that .ca is supported by CIRA and they are also unaware of how CIRA can provide a platform to connect with others and helps them with their business. 4. Quelles mesures particulières proposez‐vous pour relever un ou plusieurs de ces défis et profiter de ces possibilités? 1. Build a brand around .CA. Make it part of being Canadian. 2. Build a strategy to promote .CA to show how it can help obtain same results as .com or any other domain. 3. Make as many domain names availability possible. Build some rules/guidelines to encourage use of every single domain name usable. 4. Work as a partner with businesses to help them realize how CIRA can be a great support for their businesses.
