This course is an indoor class and is geared to anyone studying for the written portion of the ISA
Tree Worker Specialist exam or climbers that want more knowledge in the following topics:

About the presenter: Joe Murray
Joe knows trees! Joe is a consulting arborist and an assistant professor of biology at Blue Ridge
Community College. He is also the director of the campus arboretum. He is actively involved in
several research projects and routinely gives presentations ranging from tailgate safety talks to
multimedia presentations at national conferences. He also has been teaching the MAC-ISA
Arborist Certification Courses for many years. As a professional educator and ISA Certified
arborist, tree worker specialist, utility specialist and tree risk assessment qualified, Joe is well
qualified to help you gain a better understanding of trees and the discipline of arboriculture.
