DRAMA THE WET NURSE ● ● ● ● Renaud Bertrand, Tv movie 2004 91' Having given birth to an illegitimate child, the product of a feverish love affair with Mathieu, a young man working on her father's farm, Madeleine is forced to marry Valentin, whom she doesn't love. When she gets the chance to escape to Paris to work as a wet-nurse, she jumps at it. Isn't that where Mathieu is hiding out after he was accused of a crime he did not commit ? After enduring the humiliating recruitment procedure, Madeleine is employed by Madame Dumayet Ponti, a stern German widow. From now on, her task will be to devote herself to Mademoiselle Rose, Madame's granddaughter.
