Greetings!
We would like to welcome you to The Haitian Academy, an accredited institution of education that has been
shaping the lives of young people for the past years. At the classical school of The Haitian Academy we offer
to parents two educational systems, the American Based System and the Haitian Based System. We admit
students as early as age 2 in the preschool section.
In the American based system, all the classes are taught in English and students receive a High School Diploma
at the end of their studies. They are also prepared to take the college entrance SAT and ACT tests. In the Haitian
based system, the students follow the curriculum given by the National Ministry of Education of Haiti and
receive the Haitian Baccalaureate Diploma upon finishing their studies.
The mission of the Haitian Academy is to offer students, sound academic knowledge, and character education
from an early age, in a structured and loving environment. We cultivate a moral setting, to prepare well
educated, positive minded young leaders with a sense of purpose in life to become caring professionals in the
career of their choice. This is the commitment of the Haitian Academy.
The Haitian Academy achieves that goal by creating a unique multi-lingual (English, French, Spanish), multicultural setting for global education. Each student is unique. Each student is a very important member of society
and of the world, and is entitled to receive adequate instruction, to maximize his or her potential.
In addition to our strong curriculum, we offer a variety of extra-curricular activities such as volley ball, basket
ball, soccer, dance, cheer-leading, student clubs, student counsel, and school newsletter.
Students can commute daily or have the option of full or half boarding accommodations. This allows students to
live safely in the quiet setting of the campus.
The Haitian Academy's boarding facility is set up to accommodate students attending the classical school on
campus. We accept new students from ages 3 to 14 years of age. Once a student has been admitted they can
remain at the boarding facilities until graduation from High School.
Students that reside in our boarding facilities are monitored 24 hours a day by supervisors. In addition to this,
the younger students (3 to 10) are assisted by a caretaker. As a boarding school student your child will receive
home work supervision after school and will participate in various activities to stimulate his or her development.
