BONJOUR INDIA 2013 : THE FRENCH FESTIVAL (FFF) Populaire – OPENING FILM Friday, 15th February at 6:00pm at PVR Cinemas, Koramangala Director: Régis Roinsard Cast: Romain Duris, Déborah François, Bérénice Bejo, Shaun Benson, Mélanie Bernier, Nicolas Bedos, Miou-Miou Populaire, the impressive debut feature from writer-director Regis Roinsard is boosted by terrific lead turns from Romain Duris and Deborah Francois (The Page Turner), as well as some stunning old school cinematography from Michel Hazanavicius (director The Artist) regular Guillaume Schiffman. Populaire was part of the competition at the Rome Film Festival. It will be distributed in India by Top Entertainment (Tanweer Group). In the House (Dans la maison) Friday, 15th February at 9:00pm at PVR Cinemas, Koramangala Director: François Ozon Cast: Fabrice Luchini, Ernst Umhauer, Kristin Scott Thomas, Emmanuelle Seigner, Denis Ménochet, Bastien Ughetto, Jean- François Balmer, Yolande Moreau Francois Ozon delivers a psychologically intriguing drama about a jaded high school teacher caught up in his student's twisted semi-fiction. In the House won the best film award at the London Film Festival and the International Critics' Award at the Toronto Film Festival. Hand in Hand (Main dans la main) Saturday, 16th February at 6:00pm at PVR Cinemas, Koramangala Director: Valérie Donzelli Cast: Valérie Lemercier, Jérémie Elkaïm, Béatrice de Staël, Valérie Donzelli, Sébastien Noiré, Serge Bozon, Philippe Laudenbach, Lyn Thibault Valérie Donzelli offers up a lively though ultimately uneven musical dramedy with her third feature, Hand in Hand. Jérémie Elkaïm won the best actor for this film at the Rome Film Festival. Valérie’s previous film, Declaration of war was very well acclaimed. The Dandelions (Du vent dans mes mollets) Sunday, 17th February at 3:00pm at PVR Cinemas, Koramangala Director: Carine Tardieu Cast: Agnès Jaoui, Denis Podalydès, Isabelle Carré, Isabella, Rossellini, Judith Magre, Elsa Lepoivre, Juliette Gombert Between 2001 and 2003, Carine Tardieu wrote and directed two short films, and was awarded in numerous festivals. In 2007, she directed The Dandelions, her first feature film, written with Michel Leclerc and starring Karin Viard and Kad Merad. This film was part of the Busan International Film festival. Camille Rewinds (Camille redouble) Sunday, 17th February at 6:00pm at PVR Cinemas, Koramangala Director: Noémie Lvovsky Cast: Noémie Lvovsky, India Hair, Julia Faure, Michel Vuillermoz, Samir Guesmi, Jean-Pierre Leaud, Judith Chemla, Yolande Moreau Noémie Lvovsky directs, co-writes and stars as Camille, a 40-year-old Parisian drowning in alcoholic anguish after splitting up from her former childhood sweetheart Eric (Samir Guesmi) after 25 happy years together. The film was screened in the Directors' Fortnight section at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival and won the SCAD prize. It also won the Variety Piazza Grande Award at the Locarno International Film Festival.
