WINE SELECTION Our wine list offers a wide selection of French wines made from different grapes and covering most regions. These wines have been carefully selected (and tasted before being listed!) to offer very good quality nectars made from passionate, often individual producers. Now, here are some of the answers to questions you may have: Why French wines only? • Since the opening of The Secret Garden, nearly all customers expressed their preference towards French wines (this might also be linked with the fact Alain and Stéphane…us, might be French!). We therefore decided to concentrate our efforts in listing French wines only. Saying that, keep an eye on our “bin end” selection… Pricing policy • We understand some traditional restaurants may charge premium price to open a bottle of wine so, in order to keep our price at reasonable level, we only charge £6.50 on the retail (Take Away) price to all our selection. This also gives you the option to purchase any wine and take it away with you. BYO (Bring Your Own) • A much debatable concept in this part of the world! You may bring your own wine and a £6.50 per bottle “corkage” will be added to your bill. Take Away • The wine selection is showing two price columns; one “To Drink Here” and one “to Take Away”. If you wish to order a case of 12 bottles (or more…), we will only charge for 11, but please bear in mind we have a limited amount of stock and we may have to order them for you. Bin End Selection • On a monthly basis, we organise a wine tasting evening and Food & Wine Matching dinner (more info on www.tsg.uk.net). Some of the unsold wines will be listed in our bin-end selection. Green Numbers • The green numbers means the selected wines are organically grown or with reasoned and controlled methods of viticulture.
