LES 7 DONS DU SAINT-ESPRIT
Ils virent apparaître des sortes de
langues qui allèrent se poser sur
chacun d’eux. Aussitôt, ils furent
remplis du Saint-Esprit./ They saw
what seemed to be tongues of fire
that came to rest on each of them.
All of them were filled with the Holy
Spirit. Actes/Acts 2: 3-4
Le Saint Esprit donne les sept
dons énumérés dans Isaie 11,
2-3: la sagesse, l’intelligence,
le conseil, la force, la science,
la piété et la crainte de Dieu.
Présents en plénitude en Jésus
Christ, on les obtient à travers
Lui, comme effet de la grâce
sanctifiante, de la vie de Dieu en
nous. Prions: Viens, Esprit Saint,
remplis le coeur de tes fidèles et
allume en eux le feu de ton
amour. Envoie ton Esprit et tout
sera créé et tu renouvelleras la
face de la terre. Amen.
LA PENTECÔTE, FÊTE DE
L’ÉGLISE
La Pentecôte est une fête majeure
de notre calendrier liturgique. On
ordonne nos pasteurs ce jour-là et
on administre le sacrement de
confirmation. C’est l’anniversaire
de naissance de l’Église, comme
l’affirme notre déclaration de foi,
article 1er : Après l’Ascension du
Christ eut lieu la Pentecôte, d’où
origine l’Église de Jérusalem, qui
engendra l’Église Universelle.

BIRTHDAY
Pentecost is a major celebration of
our liturgical calendar. We ordain
our ministers and confirm our
teenagers on that day. It is the
anniversary of the Church's birth, as
stated by our statement of faith,
Art. 1: After the Ascension of Christ,
the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at
Pentecost created the Church of
Jerusalem, which engendered the
universal Church.

(ON). / Two priests will be
ordained on Pentecost Sunday
by our sister church, at St. Mary
the Virgin Anglican parish in
Hamilton. Ad multos annos!.

THE 7 GIFTS OF THE HOLY
SPIRIT
The seven gifts of the Holy Spirit
(enumerated in Isaiah 11:2-3)
are: wisdom, understanding,
counsel, might, knowledge and
fear of the Lord.They are present
in their fullness in Jesus Christ.
We receive them when we are
infused with sanctifying grace, the
life of God within us (for ex, when
we receive holy communion). Let
us pray: Come Holy Spirit, fill the
hearts of your faithful and kindle
in them the fire of your love.
Send forth your Spirit and they
shall be created. And You shall
renew the face of the earth.
Amen.
