her nursing-child, or show no compassion for the child of her womb?
Even these may forget, yet I will not forget you. See, I have
inscribed you on the palms of my hands; your walls are continually
before me. Your builders outdo your destroyers, and those who laid
you waste go away from you. Lift up your eyes all around and see;

s’écrasait, Jésus, s’adressant d’abord à ses disciples, se mit à dire : «
Méfiez-vous du levain des pharisiens, c’est-à-dire de leur hypocrisie.
Tout ce qui est couvert d’un voile sera dévoilé, tout ce qui est caché
sera connu. Aussi tout ce que vous aurez dit dans les ténèbres sera
entendu en pleine lumière, ce que vous aurez dit à l’oreille dans le
fond de la maison sera proclamé sur les toits. Je vous le dis, à vous
mes amis : Ne craignez pas ceux qui tuent le corps, et après cela ne
peuvent rien faire de plus. Je vais vous montrer qui vous devez
craindre : craignez celui qui, après avoir tué, a le pouvoir d’envoyer

PUBLIC LECTURE: THE SCRIPTURES IN THE CHURCH. Despite Jesus'
admonition to his disciples to love one another, the Bible today often
serves as a source of disunity. Reverend Bill Countryman will explore the
historical origins of this situation and suggest a future more life-giving
course. Friday, October 28, 7pm in Fulford Hall. Sponsored by the
Montreal Diocesan Theological College.
