It is a paradise with beaches, sun, sea and coconut trees. I can go to Quatre Bornes to look for Dal Poris, as well as rotis, rougaille, saucisses and faratas. I love swimming in the sea and playing football at Tamarin D.F. It’s very good and I like it. I can play rugby at Riverland in Tamarin. I love my country because it’s got different people in it, in Mauritius. Ces poèmes sont comme autant de sourires d’enfants, et chantent, chacun à leur façon, les valeurs humaines et l’amitié qui nous unissent. To celebrate Independence Day 2012 the pupils of the French Primary Schools express their love for Mauritius, whether it be their homeland or their host country. Like our children's smiles these poems express, in their own way, the friendship, respect and values that we all share.
