Concert for Pakistan Flood Victims

at the Bâtiment des Forces Motrices (BFM)
The Permanent Mission of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the United Nations Office and
specialized institutions in Geneva in partnership with the United Nations Office for the
Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) is organizing a fundraising event for the victims
of the floods in Pakistan. The event will take place on Friday, 26 November, 6:30 p.m. at the
Bâtiment des Forces Motrices (BFM), 2 Place des Volontaires, 1204 Geneva. The use of the
Bâtiment des Forces Motrices (BFM) for this event has been kindly offered by the Canton of
Geneva and the Federal Department for Foreign Affairs of Switzerland.
Renowned musicians from Pakistan, featuring sitar maestro Nafees Ahmed, Tabla guru Ustad
Ajmal, contemporary violinist Rafees Ahmed and Sufi musician Akhtar Channal, will perform
Pakistani Classical and Sufi music. The concert will be followed by a dinner with traditional
Pakistani cuisine.
Please come to this event and mark your support to the victims of the floods that now affect over 20
million people and that have left 14 million people in need of emergency assistance. The event will
also allow you to honour the extraordinary resilience of the Pakistani people.
The tickets for the event are CHF 50/-Each (all inclusive)

Tickets will also be on sale at SAFI shop on Wednesday 24 November from 12h00 to 14h00 and in

The Permanent Mission of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the United Nations Office and
specialized institutions in Geneva has requested that all the proceeds of this event be donated to
the UN humanitarian efforts in Pakistan.

La Mission permanente de la République islamique du Pakistan auprès de l’Office des Nations
Unies et des institutions spécialisées à Genève en collaboration avec le Bureau de la Coordination
des Affaires Humanitaires des Nations Unies (UNOCHA) organise une soirée de soutien aux
victimes des inondations au Pakistan. Cette soirée aura lieu à Genève le vendredi 26 novembre à
18h30 au Bâtiment des Forces Motrices (BFM), 2 Place des Volontaires, 1204 Genève. Le lieu a
été mis à disposition sans frais grâce au soutien du Canton de Genève et du Département fédéral
des affaires étrangères de la Suisse.
Des musiciens pakistanais de renom tel que le maître de la cithare Nafees Ahmed, le Gourou tabla
Ustad Ajmal, le violoniste contemporain Rafees Ahmed et le musicien soufi Akhtar Channal, vont se
produire à cette occasion. Le concert sera suivi d'un dîner composé de spécialités pakistanaises.
Nous vous encourageons à participer à cet évènement et à soutenir les 20 millions de sinistrés à
travers le pays dont 14 millions ont un besoin urgent d’assistance humanitaire. Cette soirée sera
également l’occasion de rendre hommage à l’extraordinaire résilience du peuple pakistanais.
Les billets pour cette soirée sont en vente au prix de 50.- CHF (concert et dîner compris)

La Mission permanente de la République islamique du Pakistan auprès de l’Office des Nations
Unies et des institutions spécialisées à Genève a demandé que tous les dons récoltés à la suite de
cette soirée soient reversés aux opérations humanitaires des Nations Unies au Pakistan.
