Step 1.Position the safety metal strip, one half under the front of the
fireplace and the other half must exceed on the floor over which
the hearth extension will be built (see Figure 1).
GENERAL INFORMATION
The floor between the fireplace frame and the hearth extension must be
protected with the supplied safety metal strip which is found within the
fireplace packaging.
Step 2.Apply the non-combustible finish material as per specific fireplace
installation manual instructions.
* The safety metal strip must cover the total width of the fireplace.
If you encounter any problems, need clarification of these instructions
or are not qualified to properly install this kit, contact you local distributor or dealer.
Read this instruction sheet in its entirety before beginning the installation.
ALL WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS IN THE INSTALLATION AND
OPERATION MANUAL PROVIDED WITH THE APPLIANCE APPLY
TO THESE INSTRUCTIONS.
Fireplace
The crack between the fireplace and
the hearth extension must be sealed
with a non-combustible material
such as sand-cement grout.
TURN OFF THE FIREPLACE AND ALLOW IT TO COMPLETELY
COOL BEFORE PROCEEDING.

Étape 1. Positionner la bande métallique de sûreté de manière à ce qu’une
moitié se trouve sous le foyer et l’autre moitié dépasse sur le
plancher ; là où l’extension de l’âtre sera bâtie (voir Figure 1).
INFORMATIONS GÉNÉRALES
Le plancher, entre la façade du foyer et l’extension de l’âtre, doit être
protégé avec la bande métallique de sûreté fournie avec le foyer.
Si vous avez un problème quelconque, avez besoin de clarification pour
ces instructions ou n’êtes pas qualifié pour installer correctement ce kit,
contactez votre distributeur ou détaillant local.
* La bande métallique de sûreté doit couvrir entièrement le foyer
sur sa largeur.
Étape 2. Appliquer le matériau de finition non-combustible de l’extension
de l’âtre selon les spécifications mentionnées dans le manuel
d’installation du foyer.
Lisez toute les instructions sur cette feuille avant de commencer
l’installation.
