2.0 David Hayes Report
 Little League in Australia has now have direct entry into the Little League World
Championships at Williams Port. (Australia is now a Region)
 ABF has increased the state National competition from 16 teams to 20 teams.
 WA will be able to enter a 4th team into the National LL Championships. We are just
waiting for this to be signed off by the ABF. As soon as this is officially signed of
David will let everyone know. We need to maintain our Membership growth to be
able to enter four teams.
 Compliance to LLI Tournament rules is a must when applying for championships.
 Post Codes – Charters will need to choose postcodes they want. This needs to be
done in the next 3-4 months (before Christmas). Have a look as to where your

members live and nominate the postcodes you would like. David Hayes will have
the final say on Post Codes.
For next season – to be selected in a State Championship team, players will need to
live in their charter postcodes. Clubs need to make parents aware that if they wish
their child to try-out for the State Championship team they must live in the
charters postcode areas. Players must also qualify in their own charter to play in
the State Championship team.
Charters cannot cross over in postcodes.
In the 2013/14 season, if players are not compliant, they cannot be chosen for
State Championships. Teams need to be compliant or cannot enter the
competition.
Development shield and Minor League SC will not be affected by postcodes.
Testing times for State U14 Teams / Dubai-Hong Kong teams will be extended on
the 16th September. David Hayes will send out an email to 10-12 year olds.
There will be two teams submitted for the State under 14’s this season. The second
side will have a decent chunk of little league players chosen to represent WA.
