Visite Mme DELAUNAY Juin 2013
Villers-lès-Nancy, 14 June 2013 – 6:30pm (CET)
PRESS RELEASE
Visit of the Deputy Minister for Social Affairs and Health,
with responsibility for the Elderly and Autonomy
On Friday 14 June 2013, Ms Michèle DELAUNAY, Deputy Minister for Social Affairs and Health with
responsibility for the Elderly and Autonomy, visited the headquarters of PHARMAGEST INTERACTIVE at
VILLERS-LES-NANCY.
The Minister was keen to visit PHARMAGEST INTERACTIVE in order to gain a better understanding of the
stakes involved in using technological products promoting medication adherence designed by the
PHARMAGEST Group, to understand how the smart electronic pill dispenser Do-Pill SecuR™ works and the
stakes relating to securing healthcare data flows as provided by the new PHARMAGEST INTERACTIVE Data
Centre.
PHARMAGEST INTERACTIVE has long been anticipating the digital revolution that is gradually gaining
ground among healthcare professionals and patients alike. Improving and reducing the costs of patient
health and care practices are self-evident truths which have long been an integral part of PHARMAGEST
INTERACTIVE's development strategy.
Patient monitoring is an area in which PHARMAGEST INTERACTIVE has innovated, offering multiple services
with its LGPI Global Services® software. Monitoring patient compliance, a major issue in the care process, is
a key component of its service offering, notably through its smart electronic pill dispenser Do-Pill
SecuR™. The data managed by DO-Pill SecuR™ (alerting errors in the taking of medication where necessary,
storing and providing information in real time to doctors, family, care-givers, pharmacists or designated
individuals from the patient's home) requires optimal security.
Moreover, in 2012, the PHARMAGEST Group received two approvals to host personal healthcare data,
ensuring wholly secure data processing for its clients. The 1st approval was to host personal healthcare data
for outsourced hosting and backup services for healthcare data and the 2nd approval was to host personal
healthcare data for applications managed and administered by clients and containing personal healthcare data
collected within the scope of telemedicine activities.
The purpose of the PHARMAGEST Group's investment in the high-tech HDS Data Centre is to meet the
increasing security requirements for flows of personal healthcare data.
With presentations of PHARMAGEST Group activities and DO-Pill SecuR™, Ms DELAUNAY's visit provided an
opportunity to demonstrate the many possibilities offered by NICT (new information and communication
technologies), which provide an additional level of interactivity between healthcare professionals, patients and the
information system while ensuring patients' rights are respected and maintaining data integrity.
