Setting-up of a training for water treatment by lagooning
and natural pools installation
Project aim
- Development of a training module for water treatment by
lagooning and natural pools installation (linking theoretical and
practical aspects),
The trainings are meant for supervising social economy businesses active in
the garden and park sectors.
Trainings are given by professionals (classic businesses)
- Exchanges of experience and transfer of new competencies
between classic businesses and social economy businesses.
- Setting-up of a Walloon network of social economy businesses
active in water treatment by lagooning and the installation of
natural pools sector.
Project history
This project was launched in response to the needs of skilled
labour in the water treatment by lagooning and installation of
natural pools sector (lack of field operators).
On the other hand, several social economy businesses active in
the park and garden fields were considering this type of
installation but lacked specific technical information.

This step was carried out in the framework of the project « Eco répondit l’Eco1 » developed in
2004 by the cluster and supported by the King Baudouin Foundation (project Management ESChange on the initiative of the Minister responsible for Social Economy).

Planning of the
activities
- Project promoter,
- Identification of the needs of both sides (classic businesses and
social economy businesses) in the framework of the project “Eco
répondit l’Eco” supported by the KBF,
- Contacts and setting-up of a group of resource people within the
cluster,
- Drafting of the grant request dossier in answer to the call for
projects of the SAW-B,
- Meeting with potentially interested social economy businesses
and promotion of the project,
- Coordination of the project (invitation, administration and
reporting),
- Business networking,
- Evaluation of the training and definition of perspectives in
collaboration with the project participants (cluster members and
social economy businesses).
This project was carried out thanks to the support of the
“Management ES – change III” programme financed by the State
Secretary for Social Economy and managed by SAW-B
(Solidarity of the Walloon and Brussels Alternatives).
