Our 4th and last 2013 school term is about to start and there already are quite a few
information to share with you. This year, we’ve specifically tried to better connect with the
Sydney French speaking community, bringing your more information and opportunities,
extending your network.
Term 4 calendar of activities is ready. Here it is : Calendar term 4 2013 Please note an

evening on Saturday 19 October to see the play Roberto Zucco – Anna Jahjah (Le
Théâtre des Assassins). But this term will mainly be dedicated to the preparation of our
annual French Market in Killarney Heights!

Two teachers and myself will attend the week of the 15 October the « journées du
réseau culturel et éducatif » in Australia. We are impatient to meet other teachers
active in teaching in French and bilingual schools in Australia including teachers from the
second recipient of the Label FrancEducation in Australia,Camberwell Primary School in
Victoria. Camberwell Primary school has been offering an English/French immersion
bilingual program since 1991.
Ecole des loisirs 2013-2014. Great books recommended by the French Dept of

FACCI NSW
FANS has been nominated for the FACCI Business Awards in the category of « new
members » ! It is a surprise and a nice one since there are only 4 nominees for more
than 35 new members. The winners will be announced during the Gala Night on the
17th of October 2013 at la Dolton House. This is the FACCI NSW’s main event,
gathering all active members of the French-Australian economy. Click here to book for

Fleet Review in Sydney Harbour. To
commemorate the centenary of the
first RAN fleet entry in the harbour
(Royal Australian Navy), warships, tall
ships, civilian ships and aircrafts will
offer an amazing sight to Sydney. The
French warship FNS Vendémiaire will
be part of the international fleet. A full
program.... and a massive show on
Saturday night.

In the 1980s, a young man named Roberto Succo committed a
heinous number of brutal crimes across Europe. In 1988, French badboy writer Bernard-Marie Koltès penned a play about him. French
native Anna Jahjah will direct this story of blood, murder and morality
centred around the charming Italian serial killer who garnered a cult
following of those intrigued by his atrocities. Translated by Martin
Crimp, the play will feature a number of established actors as well as
newcomers like Tim Cole, who takes the lead role. The story of
Roberto Succo is raw, violent and vicious, and Le Theatre des
Assassins' first offering promises to be much the same.
