Singer, poet, writer, and actress. Born in Rochester, USA. She left at sixteen the family home to see the streets and
slums of New York: alcohol, drugs and prostitution. We note for the first time the album came out in 1977 Brian Eno:
No New York . pillar of the no wave movement. Muse of no wave movement and Underground New York, author of
some thirty albums, has also recorded with Sonic Youth and Nick Cave, published in collaboration with Exene
Cervenka. She posed for photographer Richard Kern. Played in numerous movies undeground.

Chanteuse, poétesse, écrivain, et actrice. Née à Rochester (usa) ; elle quitte à seize ans le foyer familial pour connaître la rue et
les bas-fonds de New York : alcool, drogue et prostitution. On la remarque pour la première fois sur l’album de Brian Eno paru
en 1977 : No New York pilier fondateur du mouvement no wave. Égérie du mouvement Underground et no wave new-yorkais,
auteure d’une trentaine d’albums, a également enregistré avec Sonic Youth et Nick Cave, a publié en collaboration avec Exene
Cervenka. Elle posa pour le photographe Richard Kern. A joué dans de très nombreux films underground.
