Paula Miraglia Directrice générale de l’ILANUD au Brésil Paula Miraglia est une anthropologue sociale brésilienne. Elle détient un doctorat en Anthropologie de l’Université de São Paulo, USP. Ses champs d’intérêt académiques et professionnels des dix dernières années ont portés sur les thèmes de la violence urbaine, la justice, la promotion de la citoyenneté et l’égalité. Depuis 2007, Paula est la directrice exécutive de ILANUD au Brésil (Institut latino‐américain pour la prévention du délit et le traitement du délinquant) – www.ilanud.org.br. A l’institut, elle coordonne une équipe de chercheurs dans 3 domaines différents : « la justice juvénile», «la justice criminelle et le système pénitentiaire et « la prévention de la violence et la sécurité publique». ILANUD travail en partenariat avec les gouvernements à plusieurs niveaux (national, provincial, et municipal) et avec d’autres instituts de recherches nationaux ou internationaux et des ONG. En plus de la publication de plusieurs articles dans des revus académiques et dans des livres, Paula contribue régulièrement aux journaux nationaux, magasines et chaines télévisées. De plus, Paula est membre du Forum Brésilien de sécurité publique, elle est aussi membre de la Commission de la justice et de l’Institut brésilien de la science criminelle (IBCCRIM) et chercheure associée au Center of Metropolitan Studies – CEM/Cebrap www.centrodametropole.org.br. *** Paula Miraglia Executive Director, ILANUD, Brazil Paula Miraglia is a Brazilian social anthropologist. She holds a Doctorate Degree in Anthropology from the University of São Paulo, USP. Her academic and professional interests for the past ten years have concerned themes related to urban violence, justice, the promotion of citizenship and equality. Since 2007 Paula is the executive director of the Brazilian office of ILANUD ‐ United Nations Latin American Institute for the Prevention of Crime and the treatment of offenders – www.ilanud.org.br . At the institute, she coordinates a team of researchers in three different areas: “Juvenile Justice”, “Criminal Justice and Penitentiary System” and “Violence Prevention and Public Security. ILANUD works in partnership with governments in many levels (national, state and municipal) and with other national and international research institutes and NGOs. Besides several published articles in academic journals and books, Paula contributes regularly to national newspapers, magazines and television channels. In addition, Paula is a member of the Brazilian Forum of Public Security, a member of the Commission on Justice and Safety of the Brazilian Institute of Criminal Sciences and an associated researcher of The Center of Metropolitan Studies – CEM/Cebrap www.centrodametropole.org.br.
