REPLACEMENT IS DUE TO THE RETIREMENT OF THE PRESENT DIRECTOR OF FINANCE
SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the General Manager, the incumbent plans, coordinates, directs and controls activities to
ensure services and advisory assistance in the management of financial, information technology and
material resources of the City. The duties include supervision of employees of the administrative unit,
and advise management on all financial decision making.
Education

University degree (BA) in accounting or related field. An accounting designation, CA, CGA, is
considered an asset.
Experience

The job requires many years of experience in a position with similar responsibilities.
Municipal experience is an important asset.
Other Requirements
Knowledge of the rules governing municipal finances;
Very good knowledge of French and English spoken and written;
Knowledge of information technology;
Leadership and vision;
Strong ability to work under pressure;
Organizational skills;
Communication skills and relationships with various clients;
Ability marked in the preparation of budgets, cost evaluation and monitoring.
