Guillaume Pelletier
The family announces with heavy hearts his passing at the
John Owen Evans Residence, in Geraldton, with his family
by his side on September 20, 2013 at the age of 85
years. Beloved husband of Lucille and dearest father of:
Gilles (Irene) Pelletier of Geraldton, Linda (Murray)
Houghton of Thunder Bay, Donald (Doria) Pelletier of
Thunder Bay, Doreen Pelletier (Russ Waboose) of Geraldton
and Jo-Anne Pelletier of Thunder Bay. He will also be sadly
missed by his grandson Michael Pelletier of Edmonton,
Alberta, grandson Nathan Houghton of Thunder Bay, granddaughter Jessica Johnston of Calgary, Alberta, granddaughter Dana (Joe) Mathias of Vancouver, WA, USA,
grandson Lee Pelletier of Thunder Bay and grandson Jacob
Pelletier also of Thunder Bay.
Pre-deceased by his parents, siblings and daughter Lori-Anne
Pelletier.
Guillaume moved to Geraldton from Lac Baker, New
Brunswick in 1948 to work in the forestry industry for
Kimberly Clark of Canada. In 1952 his wife Lucille and son
joined him. Retiring from K.C. after 37 years, he joined the
staff at Fawcett Funeral Home for 13 years.
Guillaume was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus
4th Degree, Loyal Order of Moose and Chair of the Catholic
School Board for many years. He was an avid gardener and
loved fishing and golfing, and enjoyed making people laugh
with his many jokes and stories.
However, he was always the happiest when he was
surrounded by family. He will be fondly remembered for his
ready smile and eagerness to help others.
Today, tomorrow and always he will be forever loved and
deeply missed.
Friends will be received at Fawcett Funeral Home on
Wednesday, September 25 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. The
funeral ceremony will be held at St. Theresa R.C. Church on
Thursday at 11:00am with Roger Pronovost, Priest,
officiating. The interment will be held at Pinegrove
Cemetery. Donations to the John Owen Evans Residence,
Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes
Association would be greatly appreciated.

Pelletier annonce son décès le 20 septembre 2013 à l’âge de
85 ans à la résidence John Owen Evans à Geraldton avec les
membres de sa famille à ses côtés. Il laisse dans le deuil son

Thunder Bay et Jacob Pelletier de Thunder Bay. Prédécédé
par ses parents, ses frères, ses sœurs et sa fille Lori-Anne
Pelletier. Natif du Lac Baker au Nouveau-Brunswick,
Guillaume est déménagé à Geraldton en 1948 pour travailler
en foresterie chez Kimberly Clark du Canada. Sa femme et
leur aîné suivirent en 1952. Après 37 ans avec Kimberly
Clark, il prend sa retraite et pour les prochaines 13 années, il
est employé par la résidence funéraire Fawcett. Guillaume
était un fier membre des Chevaliers de Colomb du 4ième
degré, « Loyal Order of Moose » ainsi que président du
conseil scolaire catholique pendant plusieurs années. Il était
un jardinier hors pair et adorait la pêche, le golf et surtout
nous faire rire aux éclats avec ses multiples histoires drôles et
moins drôles. Il était l’homme le plus heureux quand il était
entouré de sa famille. Son sourire contagieux et sa capacité
d’aider les autres sont des qualités que nous
n’oublierons jamais. Il aura toujours une place très
importante dans nos cœurs. La famille recevra les
condoléances mercredi, le 25 septembre de 19h00 à 21h00 à
la résidence funéraire Fawcett. Une messe funéraire sera
célébrée par Roger Pronovost, prêtre, à l’église Ste-Thérèse
ce jeudi 26 septembre à 11h00. L’inhumation aura lieu au
cimetière Pinegrove. Vos dons à la résidence John Owen
Evans, la fondation des maladies du cœur ou à l’association
canadienne du diabète seraient grandement appréciés. Pour
