Vercors, Ventoux, Verdon by Bike
From the Vercors to the Mediterranean your Itinerary crosses the lush green high
plateaux of the Vercors before the first fragrances herald the Garrigue. Already, looming
in the distance the outline of the giant of Provence - Mont Ventoux, which is your major
challenge. Your ride through the Mediterranean villages are punctuated with gourmet
discoveries before reaching the magnificent scenery of the Gorges du Verdon. Finally, the
Mediterranean appears over the heights of Grasse, your last step in the heart of the Cote
d'Azur.
Biking in the Verdon
Day 1: La Chapelle en Vercors
Arrival at Lyon airport or at the train station in Lyon. Care of bikes and passengers and
transfer to the hotel in La Chapelle en Vercors (the bikes in a trailer)
Check in at hotel, dinner and overnight
Day 2: La Chapelle en Vercors
With your bike, folding of the Gorges de la Bourne (70 kms)
Evening accommodation in the hotel (dinner not included)
Day 3: La Chapelle en Vercors to Die
After breakfast, care and transport of the luggage to the hotel in Die
Bike ride of 40 or 70 km depending on choice
Arrival late in the day to Die, check in at hotel. Dinner and overnight in Die
Day 4: Die to Dieulefit
After breakfast, care and transport of the luggage to the hotel in Dieulefit
Bike ride of 63 km.

Loop path around Dieulefit to Montelimar 60 km or Col de la Valouse and Sausse 73 kms.

Day 6: Dieulefit to Mollans sur Ouvèze
After breakfast, care and transport of the luggage to the hotel in Mollans sur Ouvèze
Dieulefit journey to Mollans 52 km.

Day 7: Le Mont Ventoux (Challenge)!
After breakfast, loop to the Mont Ventoux (challenge), according to choice between 50
and 130 km.
Located near Carpentras, Mont Ventoux occupies an area of 25 km long and 15 wide, and
overlooks a valley located at about 100 to 300 meters.

Day 8: Mollans to Lurs
After breakfast, care and transport of the luggage to the hotel in Lurs

Day 9: Lurs to Les Salles sur Verdon
After breakfast, care and transport of the luggage to the hotel in Les Salles sur Verdon
(60 kms)
Les Salles sur Verdon is located on the shores of Lake St. Croix, you are at 26 km from
La Palud, thus adding to the return to the loop Verdon ridge road, or then customers can
choose to stay on the left bank easier for a trip or just go visiting Moustiers Sainte Marie
or refresh themselves in the lake of Sainte Croix du Verdon.

Day 10: Les Salles sur Verdon (or La Palud)
Loop path around or relaxing break rooms near the lake (even the Tour de France riders
are entitled to!)

Day 11: Les Salles sur Verdon Castellane
After breakfast, care and transport of the luggage to the Hotel in Castellane
60 kms along the right bank of the Verdon + 23 kms for the ridge road for the
volunteers. We do not recommend the passing by the Lake of Castillon not very nice.
Check in at hotel in Castellane. Overnight in Castellane. Dinner on your own
Day 12: Castellane to Grasse
After breakfast, care and transport of the luggage to the hotel in Grasse. (62 kms)
Overnight in Grasse. Dinner on your own
Day 13: Grasse
Day at leisure in Grasse.
Accommodation in Grasse, dinner on your own
Day 14: Nice Grasse
Transfer to Nice airport for passengers, luggage and bicycles in their own truck.

with shower or bath and toilet. Hearty breakfast in all places. Accommodation in 2bedded room, single or double (not always enough rooms with two beds for all
participants)
