Within this broad interest, she has conducted research on topics ranging from the cinematic city to British television crime series. She is currently developing a study of the 'empty spaces' of British cinema and television which emerges from her research into London 16:30 - 18:00 and the cinema and develops longstanding interests in cinematic spaces, cities and geographies. She is also undertaking research on the television crime series and writing a BFI Television Classic on the 1978 BBC series, Law and Order, and has recently co-edited an issue of the Journal of British Cinema and Television on 'Screen Londons'.
