This training is for organizations working in the field of business and human rights and interested
in acquiring more assets to better protect community’s human rights. This training offers a great
opportunity to become more familiar with a powerful tool created by Rights and Democracy,
known as Getting it Right. Specifically designed for civil society, this tool enable communitybased organizations to identify human rights impacts, propose responses, and engage
government and corporate actors to take action to respect human rights. In a day, participants
will learn about Human Rights Impact Assessments (HRIA), what they can or cannot do.
Participants will have the opportunity to be more familiar with Getting it Right and through the
use of case study they will gain a better understanding about the process, challenges that can be
met, but also strategies to overcome these difficulties. At the end of the training, participants
will better understand HRIAs and will be able to establish in which context this tool could be

Cette formation s'adresse aux organisations qui travaillent dans le domaine des entreprises et
droits humains et qui souhaitent approfondir la question de la protection des droits des
communautés. La formation offre une excellente occasion de se familiariser avec un outil créé
par Droits et Démocratie, connu sous le nom Getting it Right (ou Droits Devant en français).
Spécialement conçu pour la société civile, cet outil permet aux organisations communautaires
d'identifier et documenter les impacts sur des droits humains des projets d’investissement, de
proposer des solutions, et d’encourager les gouvernements et les entreprises à prendre des
mesures pour respecter les droits humains des communautés. Durant la journée, les participants
en apprendront davantage sur les évaluations d'impact sur les droits humains (EIDH) , et ce qui
peut être fait et attendu d'une EIDH. Les participants auront l'occasion de se familiariser avec
Getting it Right et à travers la présentation d'études de cas, ils comprendront mieux le
processus, les défis qui peuvent être rencontrés, mais aussi les stratégies pour surmonter ces
difficultés. A la fin de la formation, les participants auront une bonne connaissance des EIDHs et
seront en mesure de déterminer dans quel contexte cet outil pourrait être utilisé. Pour toute

Este taller se dirige a organizaciones que trabajan en el campo de los negocios y los derechos
humanos y que se encuentran interesadas en adquirir más herramientas para proteger los
derechos de las comunidades. El taller ofrece una excelente oportunidad para familiarizarse con
una poderosa herramienta creada por Derechos y Democracia, de nombre Getting it Right (Todo
Derecho, en español). Específicamente diseñada para la sociedad civil, ésta herramienta permite
a organizaciones de base identificar impactos en los derechos humanos, proponer respuestas, e
involucrar a actores públicos y privados a fin de que adopten medidas para respetar los derechos
humanos. Durante el día, los participantes aprenderán sobre la herramienta de Evaluación de
Impacto en Derechos Humanos (EIDH), incluyendo sus alcances y limitaciones. Los participantes
tendrán la oportunidad de familiarizarse con Getting it Right y mediante el uso de estudios de
caso obtener una mejor comprensión sobre el proceso, los retos que pueden enfrentar, pero
también las estrategias para superar las dificultades. Al final del taller, los participantes
comprenderán mejor las EIDH y serán capaces de determinar en qué contextos esta herramienta
