The VgaView CPC is a converter display board and a powering module for Amstrad CPC
micro computers.
(like a Amstrad MP-1 or MP-2)
It makes possible the display of a CPC on new generation CRT, LCD-tft, Plasma screen. It have
VGA output compatible with DVI-A adapter.
It deliver 5v and 12v DC for CPC self powering and 5v DC for external 3.5" floppy drive.
It can output sound to RCA plug from CPC+
RGB + Sync converter
I was looking for it since a long time, (when I tested others micro computers like Amiga) . But
the Amstrad CCIR timing is not evident to find in any converter board. I tried several model from
many manufacturer, without any success !
Since 2010 the CTV-910 Arcade & Console Converter can be used for that. You can found it
at arcade parts distributors, especially at Hsin Pao Hang Enterprise Co., Ltd .
- It have RGB+Sync (conbined Sync) and Composite input.
- Many settings are possible for video adjustement (video screen size output from 640x480 up
to 1920x1200, RGB color, gain, position...) by 5 micro-switchs on the board.
- Supported frequency input range is 15-24K, by internal RGBs port and RCA plug (for
composite).
- Output is assured by a VGA port (DVI-A compatible with adapter).
- Power +5V D.C. is neeeded for a consummation less than 500 mA.

Independent power
The Amstrad CPC can't be powered without his original screen. Because in the Alan Sugar low
cost perspective, there is only one power cordon for all the peripherals (UC, screen, floppy or
tape drive).
The VgaViewCPC can deliver 5v and 12v by the use of a CICCON 2000mA DC to DC
converter.
Compatibility
Due to unsupported signal deformations, many demo from the CPC scene can't be displayed
by the CTV-910. This is a little bit annoying, because demo-makers at this time are the most
active population for this platform ! With every year new meetings, softwares, games and demos
projects.
