Description
Two Bank of Canada $100 notes, 1988 issue, bearing the following serial number:
BJE6754175
Forensic Analysis:
The exhibits were compared to a genuine specimen, using microscopy and various light sources and magnification.
Conclusion(s):
Exhibits Q-1 and Q-2 are counterfeit banknotes.
Remarks:
1. Exhibits Q-1 and Q-2 were produced by an ink jet printing system and are classified as "BC100-J".
2. A Certificate of Examiner of Counterfeit and a copy of the Notice of Intention to Produce Certificate are
enclosed with this report.
3. All exhibits will be returned. A complete record of exhibit continuity (receipt, examination and disposition) within
the National Forensic Services is available upon request to the Case Receipt Unit (CRU), 1-866-NPS-LABS (1866-677-5227).
4. Results reported in this document apply only to the exhibits/items tested. This report is intended to be used
only as a complete document, including the named appendices and attachments.

CERTIFICATE OF EXAMINER OF COUNTERFEIT
I, Frances M. Porelle of the city of Ottawa in the province of Ontario, being a person
designated by the Solicitor General of Canada or by the Minister of Public Safety, as
an Examiner of Counterfeit pursuant to Section 461(2) of the Criminal Code,
DO HEREBY CERTIFY,
That, on the 2nd day of March 2010 the following exhibits were received at the
RCMP Forensic Laboratory in Ottawa, from the Bridgewater Police Service,
Bridgewater, Nova Scotia:
Q-1 and Q-2: Two Bank of Canada $100 notes, 1988 issue, bearing the following
serial number: AJU3553721
That I marked the notes, exhibits Q-1 and Q-2 with the inscription:
2010O-01766 FP
That I conducted an examination of the said notes, exhibits Q-1 and Q-2 and found
that they are counterfeit money or false paper money that resemble or are
apparently intended to resemble or pass for genuine Bank of Canada notes, being
current paper money lawfully current in Canada.
I FURTHER CERTIFY,
That this Certificate is true to the best of my skill and knowledge.
