London (UK) - Fasken Martineau, a leading international business law and litigation firm,
announced today that Bill Molloy has joined its London office as a partner. He will strengthen the
Technology and Intellectual Property practice group, particularly on the IT and Œsoft IP aspects of
the practice.
Bill Molloy brings strong experience from Teacher Stern LLP in London where he was a partner and
co-head of the Technology and Communications Group. In addition to copyright, trade mark and
licensing issues, he specialised in complex contractual and commercial disputes for clients in a
wide range of sectors including outsourcing, banking, media and telecommunication. He was
previously a partner at Blake Lapthorn LLP as Banking Sector Leader, heading a multi-disciplinary
team, and as marketing partner for the litigation and dispute resolution department.
On the IT side, Bill has advised on outsourcing (IT, HR and business process); all aspects of
technology procurement and software development; systems integration; telecommunication
infrastructure projects; licensing and intellectual property rights; internet and e-commerce and
data protection.
Over the last 15 years, Bill s work has frequently had a multi-jurisdictional remit as well as
involving the conduct of arbitrations under a plethora of different procedures including the ICC,
LCIA and UNCITRAL rules. He has participated in a very substantial number of mediations and has
a proven track record of resolving disputes at a very early stage and formulating effective
strategies for dispute resolution.
