Your HSSC includes the Lakeshore General Hospital,
the CLSC de Pierrefonds, the CLSC du Lac-Saint-Louis
and the Centre d'hébergement Denis-Benjamin-Viger
(residential and long-term care centre).
Your HSSC has published the Access to Health Care in Your
Neighbourhood directory to help you find the resources that
best meet your needs. In it you will find information on:
– Advice and care provided by the nurses at your HSSC
(emergency oral contraception, wound care, etc.).
– Assistance in the case of family crises, unwanted
pregnancies, mental health problems, sexual assault,
or spousal and family violence.
– Services for parents and future parents (prenatal classes,
breastfeeding, child rearing, vaccinations, etc.).
– Services for the elderly, those with a loss of independence,
or those with a disability (home and caregiver support,
end-of-life care, residential care, etc.).
– Youth services (sexually transmitted and blood-borne
infections, contraception, drug addiction, etc.).
– Specialized clinics for people with chronic illnesses
(asthma, hypertension, diabetes, etc.).
– Help to quit smoking or adopt a healthy lifestyle.
