7:30- 7:55AM Sunday – November 4th, in the Main Gym. Medical checks will be done prior to
weigh-ins.
RULES
Double elimination with wrestling to six places, TEAM SCORING TOURNAMENT, Coaches
will designate their ten scorers after the seeding meeting. Matches will be wrestled in
accordance with ALL NCAA rules.
ENTRY-FEE: $450 (Team Entry Fee) - $30 (Per Open Entry)
Every competitor is responsible for his or her own insurance!

Open to Red-Shirts – They should pay All Related Expenses
MATCH-LENGTH
All matches will be NCAA regulation 3-2-2 matches with full overtime rules and riding time.

TEAM AWARDS WILL BE GIVEN FOR 1st, 2nd & 3rd place finishers
Individual Awards will be given for each weight class 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th place finishers

contestant and/or $450 per team to the address above.
DIRECTIONS
TO ALUMNI ARENA
Follow route 90 to the I-290 West (last exit before toll). Proceed until you see exit 5 B (Millersport Highway
North). Get off the exit and go to the next intersection (Coventry Street). Get in far left lane and take a left onto
Coventry. Alumni Arena is straight ahead. Go to the stop sign and take a right. Pass the stadium and park in the
big lot next to the tennis courts. Enter the side entrance and follow marked signs for the Registration.

Coaches,
For the first time in 9 years, we are turning our UB Open into an Invitational. We will be running the tournament just like
Midlands. We will allow 10 team scores from each school. We will also allow a small number of entrants to be registered
as “Open or Un-attached”. This will allow you the opportunity to score team points for your institutions while also having
the opportunity to evaluate some of your potential red-shirts (registered un-attached).
My personal goal is to have one member of each conference represented at this year’s event… Having at least one school
from each conference would be a great way to kick off the season. Our intentions are to allow approximately 20 athletes
per team to be entered into the tournament… ten of which will be considered team scorers. It will be a great weekend of
competition!
Interesting Facts About Buffalo
 University at Buffalo is only 15 minutes from the Buffalo International Airport.
 We are 25 Minutes from Niagara Falls.
 There are four casinos within that 25 minute radius.
 Hotels and meals are plentiful and cheap!
 12 mats on the floor… tournament runs fast and smooth.
