Vendue neuve en France, comme en atteste la plaque Delecroix Automobile place sous le capot, cette Mercedes
230 SL, d'abord de teinte bleue, a trs probablement t livre ds l'origine dans la rgion de Marseille. Dans les annes
1970, elle appartenait un chirurgien de la ville et l'actuel propritaire en a fait l'acquisition en 1981 auprs du garage
Mercedes MASA de Marseille. A cette poque, le compteur affichait 70 000 km, comme en tmoigne l'important dossier
de factures qui accompagne la voiture. Aujourd'hui, il indique 108 000 km, chiffre d'origine selon le propritaire, qui
l'utilisait pour effectuer des allers-retours entre la Cte Bleue et Aix-en-Provence. Les factures, pour la plupart du
garage Mercedes MASA, permettent de constater un entretien suivi et notamment les travaux suivants: intrieur et
capote refaits, y compris le troisime sige, dans les annes 1980; freins arrire revus en 2010; amortisseurs avant
remplacs en 2008; moteur refait en 2006 chez Auto 2000 avec remplacement des pistons, rvision de la culasse et
changement de l'embrayage et de la ligne d'chappement. Aujourd'hui, la voiture fonctionne bien et peu tre utilise
avec plaisir, mais les soubassements et les planchers sont revoir. Elle peut donc constituer une superbe base
d'origine pour une restauration et retrouver sa belle teinte bleue.

Sold new in France, as can be seen by the Automobile Delecroix plaque under the bonnet, this Mercedes 230 SL,
originally in blue color, was probably delivered new in South of France, the Marseille region. In the 1970s, it belonged
to a surgeon in Marseille and the current owner acquired it in 1981 from the Mercedes garage MASA, in Marseille. At
this point, the counter showed 70,000 km, as can be seen from the important invoices file coming with the car.
Today, the odometer indicates 108,000 km, an original figure according to the owner, who used it to make occasional
round trips between the Cte Bleue and Aix-en-Provence. Most of the invoices are from the garage Mercedes MASA
and show that the car has been maintained very meticulously: the interior and the hood has been redone, including
the rear bench seat, in the 1980s; the rear brakes were overhauled in 2010; the front shock absorbers were replaced
in 2008. The engine was rebuilt in 2006 at Auto 2000, the pistons replaced, the cylinder head revised and the clutch
and exhaust system changed. Today, the car is working well and can be used with pleasure, but the chassis
foundations and the floorboard need to be looked into. It can therefore be a great base for a comprehensive
restoration so that it can once again regain its beautiful blue shade.
