AS30 AND AS34 MODELS BY IHIMER
Paris hosts the world preview of the new AS30 and
AS34 skid-steer loaders, now available across the entire
IHIMER network worldwide.
San Gimignano, 16 April 2012- IHIMER (a company specializing in the production and
marketing of mini excavators, skid-steer loaders and mini dumpers, set up 10 years ago
as a joint venture between IMER Group and IHI) selects INTERMAT2012 as the venue to
unveil a brand new product line — AS30 and AS34 skid-steer loaders. These
machines deliver remarkable levels of performance on every type of terrain, taking
sandy soils, mud and steep gradients in their stride with equal facility. IHIMER
underscores its status as a leading player in the earth moving equipment sector,
focusing constantly on innovation and operator safety (IHIMER is among the
companies to receive Intermat Innovation Awards for 2012). The new AS30 and
AS34 skid-steer loaders are reliable, powerful and fast, and equipped as
standard with hydraulic servoassist on both propulsion and loader controls.
Among the main construction features combining to guarantee maximum
comfort and driveability, the standard versions of both models include: sprung
seat with two positioning adjustments, multifunction joystick, ride control system, loader
arm float system for automatic levelling, two ground speeds, accelerator pedal and hand
throttle, traction control system, manual engine idle control.
Among the greatest advantages of the AS30 and AS34 models presented by
IHIMER at INTERMAT2012 is their supreme manoeuvrability: these are machines
able to move nimbly and safely on every kind of terrain, thanks to their four
wheel drive and an automotive traction control system incorporated into the
pump. Great care has been taken over operator visibility; the raised seat and its
dual adjustment system allow selection of the position giving the best view of
the bucket and the surrounding space.
There are multiple solutions designed to maximize operator safety and comfort.
The safety bars inside the cab serve not only as a failsafe device by inhibiting the controls
in the event of the driver seat being vacated, but also as a restraint, holding the operator
safely in the seat and providing an armrest for proper use of the joystick; the float
function is activated when dragging the bucket back in reverse to level the ground,
leaving the operator free to concentrate on driving the vehicle. The ride control
system stabilizes the machine when moving over rough ground with the bucket loaded,
whilst the self-levelling system keeps the load evenly balanced, with no action required
on the part of the operator. For total comfort, the cab can be fully enclosed and
pressurized, and equipped with air conditioning or heater.
Further advantages are afforded by the auxiliary and hi-flow hydraulic circuit — the
optimum solution for a variety of applications using numerous accessories,
including asphalt and concrete cutters, snowploughs, road sweepers with
collection bin, industrial sweepers, etc. which can also be used on public
highways, as AS30 and AS34 models are DoT approved for road use.

IHIMER AS30 SKID-STEER LOADER
With an operating weight of 3150 kilograms, the AS30 can handle a working
load (SAE standard capacity) of 850 kilograms, and guarantees a breakout force
of 2300 daN. This IHIMER skid-steer loader is equipped with a Kubota V2607T-stage
IIIA engine of 2600 cc displacement, rated 66 HP at 2700 rpm, guaranteed to deliver
optimum performance even in tricky situations and under the most hostile conditions.
The machine has a 70-litre tank designed to ensure greater efficiency and minimize
the time lost through refuelling stops.
IHIMER AS34 SKID-STEER LOADER
With an operating weight of 3500 kilograms, the AS34 can handle a working
load (SAE standard capacity) of 1020 kilograms, and guarantees a breakout
force of 2780 daN. This IHIMER skid-steer loader is equipped with a Yanmar
4TNV98T-stage IIIA engine of 3320 cc displacement, rated 82.3 HP at 2500 rpm,
guaranteed to deliver optimum performance even in tricky situations and under the most
hostile conditions. The machine has a 91-litre tank designed to ensure greater
efficiency and minimize the time lost through refuelling stops.
Other standout advantages of the AS30-AS34 models presented at INTERMAT2012
by IHIMER include a thoughtful approach to maintenance: in addition to the adoption of
a tilting cab, the radiator and oil cooler can be swung clear to one side ('full
opening system'), providing unhindered access to the engine and hydraulic
components.
