Luxembourg: a driver for logistics and supply chain management
The government of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the University of Luxembourg, through a partnership with the Massachusetts Institute
of Technology Center for Transportation and Logistics (MIT CTL), founded the Luxembourg Centre for Logistics and Supply Chain Management
(LCL) in late 2015. The LCL aims to become a European leader for education, research and innovation in logistics and supply chain management.
The 2016 Logistics Performance Index ranked Luxembourg 2nd worldwide. Logistics is one of the sectors selected by the government of
Luxembourg to be intensively developed as part of its economic strategy. The country is home to a large number of companies active in the field
and an attractive job market. As a major thoroughfare in central Europe, the country has significantly expanded its air, rail, road and water
